More and more christian ladies are dressing so seductively in the name of fashion i guess they have forgotten that part of the scripture that says and i quote "Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat it again, so that I will not cause them to fall." ........ 1 Corinthians 8:13

This can be directly related to our day-to-day activities, if wearing a type of dress will make the opposite sex LUST after you, and hence SIN, and you go ahead to wear it, then my brethren you have committed a sin!

More ever God is not interested in your unclothedness so you are not appeasing him by dressing half-naked. The bible said 'be moderate and Godly in all you do'

I HOPE THAT'S CLEAR ENOUGH

(c) www.faithbok..com and www.faithbook.cf

I find that I am guilty of this...I dress without thinking.

Funny enough when I go on dates I never wear body hugging dresses.

May God help us.

This is lovely smiley

Two babies were in a mother’s womb. One asked the other: “Do you think there's life after delivery?”

The other answered, “Why, yes, of course. There has got to be something after delivery. Perhaps we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”

The second replied, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t comprehend right now.”

The first snorted, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”

The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”

The first replied, “That's silly. If there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

“Well, I don’t know,” answered the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”

The first laughed “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s moronic. If Mother exists then where is She now?”

The second replied, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her our world would not and could not exist.”

Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”

To which the second responded, “Sometimes, when it's quiet and I focus and really listen, I can perceive Her presence, and I can hear Her loving voice singing over us from above.”

Umm on a different note, reading this piece reminds me of the book "when sorrow comes, let not your heart be troubled" by Norman Vincent Peale.

There is a limit to what we know and this limitation is the reason why most times we prefer to stay where we are instead of venturing into the unknown. We feel too comfortable on this part that we believe here is the best, there could be not better place.

We almost believe it starts and ends here.

The case of these babies, especially the first who believes life starts and ends where they are and there's no life outside the womb is a classic example. Little did he know that there is a world he is yet to explore, a world in which if he ever gets born into it; will never prefer to go back to were he used to be (the womb) and won't even want to leave. (Die)

Oh it's not just me ....I know it...even you smiley yes you.

Even though the thought of living eternally with God in heaven is most desirable to me, I sometimes get scared.....yeah am scared of dying. I can't imagine what it will be like dying and leaving behind the people I love so much, the world I've become adapted to, a world where I can move around, eat, log onto Nairaland and chat with dagr8, ATMC, VickyO and co. How can I die leaving behind ihedinobi2, Humbledbygrace, Mintayo, FrancisTony and co. Seriously even if there is a life outside here, how can I be sure I will still recognise ARareGem yetseyi, Reyginus and co when we meet again over there. So I will just die and eat no more; my favourite food and fruits.? I won't even have to call home and say hi to mum? So I will have to leave behind my comfort here and everything I know and cherish to a place where I don't know what am really gonna be doing save those I was told even by people who like me they are yet to go there?

The questions are endless and there seems to be no convincing answers, am only meant to have faith that if I leave this world, am going to a better place.

Such is our fear of the "unknown" and most times we believe it's better to be here and leave here to any other place no matter how better they try to convince us.

But yes it is possible that when we get there, we will pray NEVER to return here. We will even wish we got there earlier. We will realise that all we cherish here is NOTHING compared to the joy of being part of where we finally found ourselves. ....We will be like...Heck why didn't we die earlier!!!

In all, never say never, and never be afraid to have a glimpse of that which lies ahead...."Things can only get better"...

If we had our ways, we wouldn't have tried coming out of the womb, because we used to be comfortable there in those days. Now that we are here, we don't wish to go back to our mothers' womb because here is fun and we have improved individually. When we leave here, we are going to a better place where we will prefer not to come back here for the best lies ahead.

Of Course you should come with a date. I saw a church valentine's day service tagged- sexx and sanctitiy, and it got me wondering if Pastors cant preach about any other thing apart from sexx, keeping yourself, right partner etc, what ever happened to sermons about showing love to one another everyday? helping the needy, loving and respecting your body etc?
Belated is my reply, I hope am still permitted to.

I find the theme of the said service so on point! At least the sanctity attached therein nullifies the weird sex tag.

There was a time I used to think it's silly seeing men of God preach sex with or without sanctity. As far as I was concerned then, it's non of their business. But it's different now.

Maybe you should have attended the programme. smiley

I once went to a bookshop to get some books. Surprisingly I saw a book written by one of my favourite priest writers and it was titled "In love with sex" .....I looked the other way round and I was like "Is this Rev Fr ok at all?" What a book!

I didn't buy it that day, but the next time I returned to the bookshop, I had to buy it, I said to myself, if it was written by a Rev Fr and sold in a Catholic bookshop, then I have to read it!

Long story short... Till date, I thank God I finally get to read it. Rather than being immoral as I thought, it was a sincere eye opener. And I know God won't fail to bless that priest for summoning up the courage to write that book especially to our youth today who has almost forgotten God's aim of making sex possible.

They say the will bomb churches, schools, Christians and much more, they have made some scared to come out that day, it's time for we Christians to get angry and unite as one, they want to come against Us with guns and bombs but we would come against them in the name of the Lord. Let's unite, we have been praying separately now let's stand together as one and praise the Lord for the first time. 28 March,2015 at exactly 12am, no matter where u are, make sure you are shouting and shaking the earth where u stand. Get involved as we shout hallelujah 7 times to the glory of God and watch God show himself. Spread the word, together we can do this. #hallelujah7

Yes dear you are right, there is this fear of the the unknown, but like the unborn babies who are certainly going to be delivered, so is physical death irrefutable.
I believe the babies were faced with the same uncertainties and the second baby even though he believed in "Mother" he would still be unclear and sometime doubtful as to how the new world is like. But what if there was a daily reminder, encouragement and uplifting as to the reality of life outside the womb ? What if someone/something visited them in the womb assuring them there was life after delivery. It will be easier for him to believe the more.
I believe that is what the article is trying to encourage us to know.

Our faith should drive away our fear

During sunday school, Our teacher told us about the differences between the Holy Spirit and our conscience , she said the Holy Spirit was sent to us by JESUS to be our companion and comforter, some arguments were raised -
1) if the Holy Spirit is responsible for our action as Christians, what then is responsible for unbelievers actions?
2) she said that people tend to revere The Holy Spirit than JESUS because The Holy Spirit tends to work more miracles and does more works . There was a counter opinion which said that GOD came in the form of HIS SON-JESUS ,and when JESUS was ascending into heaven, HE came back to us in form of The Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit is in every believer and can work miracles through the spirit form , which means that it is JESUS who is still performing all these miracles, but in a different form.Giving the example of Lazarus , his sisters were waiting for JESUS to be present there to heal him, but because JESUS wasnt there on time, he died, if it was now, when the Holy Spirit is available to every believer, Mary and Martha would have joined hands in faith and prayed for Lazarus to be healed/raised from the dead because of the power of JESUS in them through the Holy Spirit.
3) The conscience does not make decisions for us and puts us in a state of confusion, that is why we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers , which brings a question, what does being unequally yoked with unbelievers mean? does it mean we should not do buisness with unbelievers, or we should not have them as friends, if you do not mix with unbelievers, how then do you spread the gospel of CHRIST JESUS to them?
4) All our good actions, promptings and good deeds are aided by the Holy Spirit, whereas, when we listen to our conscience, we tend to make mistakes, what part of the conscience is then responsible for unbelievers good deeds if its not the Holy Spirit, considering the fact that only true Christians have The Holy Spirit of GOD in them? BBC WHY?
Do you know the way of Isa 55:8?
BBC WHY?
Why did God tell Moses to say to the people of Israel “do not make image to worship”. God said to Moses to tell the people to make the image of Ark of the Covenant which the people worshiped like God.
BBC WHY?
Why did God tell Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit; “the day you eat it you will surely die”. But when they ate it they did not die?
BBC WHY?
Some of the message that God gave to Prophet Amos, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, John the Baptize to preach, was it against the injustice of the leaders of the nations? Read these Scripture: Amos 6:1-8; Amos 7:10-17; Isa 56:9-12; Jer. 22:24-30; Mac. 3:8 - end.
BBC WHY?
Why did David refuse to kill King Saul when God handed him over to David?
BBC WHY?
Here is the truth revealed by Jesus Christ concerning the message of Fr Mbaka: Jonathan Goodluck was a man with great destiny to fulfill the prophecy of Fr Mbaka, which is to establish justice, to give hope to the hopeless poor people of his nation, to give freedom to the oppressed people and that was why Ojukwu took Jonathan Goodluck like his son but the question is, did he fulfill his destiny for the past six years? Or how do you think he will fulfill this destiny for these four years if not for the message of God.
BBC WHY?
If Jonathan was sent to give joy to the distressed people of this nation and he did not do it, was he a Goodluck to the people or bad luck?

BBC WHY?
The message was to open the eye of Jonathan for him to know the purpose God made him the leader of this nation.
BBC WHY?
Jonathan will rule this nation but not because of what you said but because the kingdom have not been taken away from him like King Saul. For God will once again give him second chance to fulfill his destiny.
BBC WHY?
Jonathan should go to Fr Mbaka let him anoint him like king David; it is then that God will once again be with him but (if not) Jonathan will rule the nation but the people of this nation will know that they have insulted the prophet of the most high God.
BBC WHY?
How much will Jonathan give to you that will make you to break the heart of God Most High?
BBC WHY?
The nation are happy with what you said, but heaven is sad, look up, the days of your disaster is coming, day the days when the prophesy of prophet Amos to Amaziah priest will be your food, Amos 7:10 – 17; and the punishment of Miriam will be your drink, Num 12:1-15.
For you will eat money until the money will flow out of your nose than you will know that he please with the way of his prophets.
Your liars will find you out like the two judges in the book of Susanna.
The Lord has spoken!
