[b] MATCH FACTS * Both team where Knocked out of the champions league last weekend by North African team, Mogreb and Smouha. * Kano Pillars has won the league four time while Enyimba has won it for a record 6 times (record shared with Enugu Rangers). * Okey Emordi has tutored and won the league for both side. Emordi also won the champions league for Enyimba. * Both has been top 2 team in Nigeria top tier for the past two seasons. * Unlike others, Both team were able to retain their highest goal scorer for last season. Mfon Udoh for Enyimba with a record 23 goals and Adamu Abdullah for Kano Pillars with 12 goals. * Both team's Captain, Theophilus Afelokhai (Pillars) and Chinedu Udoji (Enyimba) has been very vital in the team's campaign for the past two season. * Enyimba have enjoyed success in CAF competition while Kano Pillars haven't. * Both Team produced most vital players in the present Super Eagles. Ahmed Musa for Pillars and Vincent Enyeama for Enyimba. * Kano Pillars produced best goalkeeper for last season in Theophilus Afelokhai while Enyimba produced the best player who also was the highest goal scorer, Mfon Udoh.
