The igbos are a bunch of bloody town-criers who always cry of marginalization whereas they're the most tribalistic tribe in Nigeria. Biafra would have been the worst entity if it had come into existence. The average igbo man or woman is very greedy. Abia, Ebonyi, Imo and Anambra are an eyesore and that would have reflected the true nature of the so called biafra republic. Ndigbo as an organization is a big joke. MASSOB is the biggest joke of all considering their push for biafra. Yeebos sha. Yeebos and greed are like siamese twins. Thank God for not making an igbo person.

From what you have said, igbos are the only problem with Nigeria, and other tribes don't have faults, right? Well, I won't say anything now, if you could elaborate more on what you mean by "greed", that'd be appreciated. I have friends from other tribes that I respect. I won't let your blind rage or other people's bring me down to the level of saying bad about their tribes. While all of you are in Nigeria fighting yourselves, Nigerians in diaspora are more united than ever. I don't understand why it's such a grave sin to have an igbo ruler in Nigeria. Or why they are to be crucified when they make their decision on whom to vote for? Take off the log in your own eyes before taking the speck in another person's own. Nigeria will be great again.

I think he is right with a lot of things here apart from the "greed" part. Greed is a stereotype that other tribes use to mock the Igbos and cover their own issues. I thing Igbos are ambitious and have this never-give-up attitude which makes people envy them.

Now tell me what is greed here: An native of Bayelsa saw that Igbo business men were trooping into the state from the north due to insurgency over there. The Igbo man wanted to rent a shop that normally cost 150,000 but the Bayelsa man insisted that the Igbo man must pay 280,000 and for two years. This Igbo man took the risk (he couldnt help it) and paid the rent.

fast forward to few months later

A customer came to buy a product which should sell for 500 and this Igbo man sold it 600 so as to make up for the cost of everything.

Who is greedy here? The shopowner or the Igbo biz man?

An average Igbo man is more concerned about his personal business than politics. Yes, we have Dangote, Otedola, Mike Adegune, etc. These are individuals. How do you rate their communities when it comes to even development? The Igbos are best when it comes to empowerment and that is why that's development is even in Igbo land.

I won't because of u get into mud slinging because I respect all tribes and all tribes in Nigeria have their issues but for some reason it seems dissing the Ibo tribe is the in-thing now right? Now everybody wants to open their mouths and have an opinion on the Ibos.. the writer of this article addressed the real issues being caused by the Ibo leaders and u are hearing talking but saying nothing... go read a book so you can gain some wisdom ... If the mods where reasonable they should ban you for this nonsense

Everyone now raises a topic on Igbo this Igbo that... Just to generate traffic here. Well I don't blame them, I blame the moderators, I blame seun because right under their watchful eyes the very medium they came up with to further national unity and togetherness in Nigeria is falling short of it objectives. A stern decision need to be taken on this because if it continues like this, I really doubt the future of this enterprise. The hate is really too much Seun, for me personally, am beginning to limit the manner I frequent ur blog and I am sure am not alone in this. Am gonna quote all the intelligent few I knw, we all have to look at this holistically. Its an advice worth heeding to seun osewa.

Please, I beg to disagree with you dragging the moderator into this tribal vendetta, I'm a strong believer in the ideals of the Igbo nation, the Igbo people had done great things in the world, made exploit positively. Every ethnic group has their short fallings which the Igbo people are no exception, I believe the Yoruba are even worse. It is time the likes of you, sensitize critics by engaging in a contest of ideas. If you and "all the intelligent few" boycott this blog, of what importance have you channel your intelligence in liberating "all the foolish majority" from their ignorance. My friend, it's high time you rose to the occasion and stop been cowardly. Think twice. God bless you.

Of course, the Igbo man. He is devil incarnate and his love for money is insatiable, while everyother Nigerian groups hate money. Abacha, Gowon, Obj, IBB Danjuma, etc, men that looted the Nigerian treasury dry are all Igbos. The money they all looted, they hate them, so they gave them all to igbos, the lovers of money.

Very very sad but true.

I was talking with a family member about this same issue just after the elections and I said see how other zones spoke with one voice. They are united but why are our brothers like this? If they can't be united, how do they even join forces with another region and cause ...

You missed it. Igbos were more united than any other tribe in the last concluded elections. Check the pattern. Igbos both in the southeast and diaspora all voted for PDP or APGA. That's unprecedented and unmatched.

His argument is riddled with holes.

This is very presumptuous. I don't know where people get this idea from, but Ojukwu was not the leader of Ndigbo. You could say he was a big influence on many Igbo people, not the leader of the entire Igbo.

Etcetera has written some good stuffs, but this is myopic and off point.
And you think in your mind that without ojukwu biafra would have come together and fought for good 3 years without external support? Guy he was a leader and a good one at that.

We hear of Dangote, the Dantatas, Otedola, Mike Adenuga, the Okoyas

all these men are criminals. they're what they're because of stealing biafran monies...without crude oil these men are absolutely nothing!

...just wait, when Biafra is restored, the supreme Chukwu Abiama will restore the glory, dignity and pride of black race.

Yes, Ndigbos are the lost house of Israel. They are very gifted and powerful set of race but their affinity to idols and putting Jesus and mother Mary to cover their faces is the foundation of their problem.

I respect Ndigbos, I expected that they are supposed to be followed not for them to be following. Ibos need to wake up from their slumber.

What they need to do is this. They should go back to their ancestral lands with all the wealth they have acquired all over Nigeria and the world and develop their homes. Let everybody travel down to where they are to trade with them.

Go back home and develop your own alaba market, where you can pirate even human part without any law catching you, create your Nollywood or Ndigbowood where you can release any movie without sensor, develop your democracy and make life bearable for yourselves and leave Lagos for the Yoruba people.

i will take anambara as an exmple before P .obi we thought that politics is for vagabonds THEIVES and never do wells Then came Peter Obi you all know that we went through a lot of difficulties to get power out from ngige and mbadinuju and after then did we realize that we had been we have been living in darkness now we are in light so abians should not allow judasess to continue his desolation and imolites should follow our example
out of 12 one person betrayed Jesus now there are more than 50million IGBOs in Nigeria so we should expect thousands of Judases like t.a orji and we will succeed

The last thing the igbos need are turn coats and freelance noisemakers such as this^^^ to tell us the political trends and where we should invest. Goes to show the kind of folks who are horribly inept at foreseeing and analysing the large percentile of the middle class (the engine hub of every major economic super power) consisting majorly of the igbos, infact most igbos-at least 70%- are of the middle class and upwards despite government inattention negligience, corruption and supposed lack of political power.Tis all about economics of scale,a Dangote or an oil thieving Otedola are pretty much useless without a strong middle class. With pockets of exceptional 'spheres of industrialists' forged from the same melting pot that is Nigeria's middle class, willing to give the Otedolas and Dangotes a serious run for their monies, most of them here can congratulate themselves for a job well done especially when it is an open secret these exceptional igbo industrialists and savvy bussiness men in their hundreds of thousands started from £20 at best.Igbos for a long time ironically have been accused of too much greed to allow unity take them to promised land as far as political relevance in Nigeria is concerned and with what political pundits have seen lately as regards to our blockvotes both in the East and Diaspora...we are looking at an emerging socio-economic/political giant thus ETC is barking up the wrong tree.
