OK, pls i need help with ticket again

am visiting my brother in los angeles this summer, am travelling from manchester uk.

the cheapest ticket i cud find was 891pds, which i cant afford.

so i started to look for cheaper ways, i found dat i cud get to LAX via atlanta and that wud cost me about 650pds i.e going to
atlanta from manchester for 499pds and atlanta to lax for 239$.

that got me thinking , there must be cheaper ways of getting to my destination.

so please of u know these areas or a way i cud transit somewhere that wud save me money pls help a broke sister out

I have not flew from UK to LA. Anyway if you coming from Nigeria. Morroco airline is the cheapest from lagos to LA that I know but it has too many stops. Turkish airway is also cheap. My cousin usually fly Turkish airway when travelling from to LA from Lagos. I wish you safe journey. LA is a nice city but be careful when you get there because some part of LA are not safe.

Try wakanow.com, they do accept almost all type of debit or credit cards payment and bank transfer if you do have a naija bank account. Try your booking from Heathrow(LHR) to Los Angeles(LAX) and ensure your departure and returns dates fall into Wednesday.

The cheapest way will be to split your flight with two airlines like you found to atlanta and then another to LA...
Be sure to allow enough stop over time inbetween to collect your checked baggage and then check it to the next airline to LA.. Maybe 4 hours or more if they require you to go through security check again.. It may only take 1 or 2 hours, but better safe than sorry with 4 hours or more to spare...

The flights that fly from Nigeria to Europe or Middle east and then to USA are plenty.. But landing in the East coast will be the cheapest while LA is far on the West coast...
So book from lagos to Atlanta or JFK via any cheap airline that flies out of Lagos... If you land in any major airline hub in USA and want to fly from there to another major hub in the USA, you will find the cheapest costing domestic flights easily... Atlanta is a major hub, Houston is a major hub, JFK is a major hub and so is LA.... Your destination as LA is in your favour to find a cheap transfer flight after landing in Atlanta, JFK or Houston... I think Houston may not have the cheapest flights coming from Lagos.. JFK and Atlanta may have cheaper if you use airlines based in europe, middle east or africa...
The one you found from lagos to atlanta to LA is a good price and the standard low price.. It will be rare to find lower than that on a worthy airline.. Its about the lowest cost for a direct flight on an american based airlines (delta & united) that fly direct from lagos to Houston... Then its very easy to get a flight to LA

It's not that expensive. It will be cheaper to go from London heathrow or London gatwick. Try kayak.co.uk or skyscanner.net.

It's only sas Dats a bit cheap but I haven't used it before and don't know their track record.

Madam, Its almost summer, you won't get it cheaper than that.. I bought Munich to Atlanta ticket for 1,050 euros last week, thats after doing ''aroro'' & ''Ijebu'', could not get a lower price than that..
New york tickets are still in the range of 800-1000 euros... The other option is just to travel after August

August is the real travelling season. School children are on holidays making their vacation trip.. Many Europeans also prefer to proceed on annual leave in August. Its the least productive month of the year
Avoid booking from 3rd party site for now except maybe skyskanner...
Try Aeroflot, Air Canada, Icelandic air, Air Norwagian, United Airline, SAS & Air Berlin...

the very same website gives an option for BA which has prices between £400-£600. If u actually take time to do the rest for yourself you would have seen it

It will be very difficult to get a cheaper price. i would suggest flying into ATL then have your family buy you a plane ticket with southwest airline from ATL to LA. That might save you some money. So your round trip would be to and from ATL but you would buy a separate round trip ticket from ATL to LA using either southwest airline or priceline.com
