Help my ihot fell in water then stopped showing lights on the screen but I could still see wat was on d screen only if I used a torch to point at it in the dark then I found a thread on cnet advising use of alcohol to rinse the phone now it does not even boot up help js got this fone nd my dad said he won't gimme cash 4 anoda cuz itz my 3rd diz year don't no wad came ova me |

I remember saying d scree back lights stopped workin wad can I do besides I don't trust this repairers even carlcare cause I've seen numerous people there complaining and y carlcare misplaces peoples phones and start giving flimsy excuses |

I'm sorry about all that op but I have to say that was terribly careless of you. I don't think there's any other option better than taking it to carlcare. If it's a repairable problem they'll probably be able to handle it, that's if the alcohol hasn't done irreversible damage already. |

D screen is faulty, y deep it in alcohol? The only thing left is to change the screen, and its expensive, i doubt if the screen is out |

When ur phone falls in water give it an alcohol bath alcohol %90 up the alcohol occupies the phone and prevents corrosion from particles in dirty water after givin it the bath leave to dry under 30mins due to its high rate of evaporation and it won't short circuit ur board since it does nt conduct electricity |

taylormed2:Wrong approach! When your phone gets into water, the first approach is to prevent short circuit of the board. This can be achieved by dismantling the phone and putting it under direct Sunlight. You can also apply the raw rice method stated here. After 24hrs, you can put your phone together and test it for use for the first time. Now, application of spirit/alcohol can take place if necessary |
