Its 12 hours + from Abuja depending on the driver and stopping method. I served in Taraba but relocated to Oyo

All u need is ur medical report either from a. State or federal hospital. Do not go along wit a private hospital medical report cos dey won't accept dt

u never die o,and u wont.lolz..i doubt if u can get direct bus to Jalingo from Owerri bt ur best bet is to go to Abuja or Benue.i will confirm dis and d amount for d transport fare from my fellow corpers that are from imo.likewise,if u want to come by air,u wl hav to come thru Yola then u wl take Yola to Jalingo which is approximately 3 hrs by road.ciao!!

I was there last year Nov, it's actually a nice place. The Maami set. . Very friendly place, I missed calabar kitchen cos of pounded yam, yes pounded yam .. . Free your mind, it not that bad a place but lemme fill you in for some likely struggles
1. You'll have to get you water from a reservoir. If your hostel is far from there. Too bad for you ... but the first few days, you can rapport with the indigines( kids)
2. There is one soilder that always size my cap cos he's a douche , he is fair, not tall, talks as if he's a stammerer
3the sun., my God, that place is hot like atacama desert
But all in all, it's fun

U can pass through Akure..Board a bus going to GBOKO,benue state.from GBOKO to jalingo...u will see your mates in Akure...just make sure you get to their Akure garage before 6am...u will get there IIpm or 12am in the morning

If you are in Lagos, you can get a flight or bus.
A flight cost like 26k to Yola and from Yola to Jalingo is like 2k and 5hours.
Buses
Samfan or fair plus load directly from Lagos to Taraba State at 7,500 and is 23-26hours.
Don't be panic, no attack or crisis.
It's a Christian state though they have issues but not at the expenses of the corpers.
I will say again congratulations.
If you want to redeploy back come with your documents is as easy as sleeping and wake up.
And if you are staying prepare your mind.
