Generally, Ogun State is quite exposed. Being a place very close to Lagos is a major factor. There are some places though that are kinda 'far' from civilization. Odeda, Ogun Waterside, Imeko Afon etc

For those that serve in schools in the rural areas, the state pays 55k at the end of the service year. Those posted to private schools earn on the average 5k per month. If you are posted to developed areas like Sagamu, Abeokuta etc and local governments, you don't receive a dime from the government.

So you know what that means, you hardly have time to your personal life.

As at the time I served, State no longer paid Corps Members that served in Abeokuta. But they pay 5k monthly to those serving in rural area. Well you dont get the money monthly, you get it all at the end of your service year.

I think serving in a Uni is cool, I think polytechnics/Uni pay 5k, and some 10k. Except for private Uni's that pays more. Flexibility of time:quite flexible, tho not as flexible as serving in a public secondary school.


If you wanna have maximum time to yourself, then public/government schools fits.

Depends on the side of Lagos you wanna stay close to. Berger, Ibafo, mowe, wawa, those places are close to Ojota, Oshodi et al

While Sango, Ota are close to Abule egba, Iyana paja, Egbeda et al

So it depends on you.

Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Sango Ota, Berger, I know these LGA's are cool and quite competitive.

Ogun state camp is such a nice camp, its more or else like an hotel. U enjoy everything u want without stress, water, maami resources and lots more. But ensure u buy all ur kit items, white snickers, chase deer tops and ur shorts b4 u come to camp as all these are damn expensive @ camp.

Batch A 2015, this is very true and important. Things are very expensive in camp, cos they know when you get there you've got no option. Try buy all the necessary things you need before going to camp, even bucket sef A bucket of 150 can be sold 250 no jokes . That's how expensive some stuffs can be sha.

Places like Ota, Abeokuta, Mowe, Agbara are quite industrialised. Very difficult for corpers to get posted to companies without influencing it. So if working in a company is your goal, start influencing it from day one.
