That looks like a Black Mamba, one of the deadliest snakes in the world. You should tan the skin and make it into a nice accessory.

@about 9:30PM tonight; I was returning from the church along with my wife, she had almost held the snake while about to open the door. Suddenly she sighted the black deadly snake and retreated. The snake had entered d net door and was resting on the door handle near d knocker.

I did the needful.

Last week I killed a green scorpion @my backyard but the thread didn't make front page.
Warning: this is a season of reptiles and its cohorts, pls always hold a torchlight and watch carefully @night

Do you have to be a foreigner to care about animals? My parent are Nigerian, which makes me a Nigerian by default. Keep your insult to yourself angry. If you see nothing wrong with killing animals you could easily have captured, then it's fine. It's not like it's a lion.
Can you capture a snake?

Do you know its poisonous?

It kills ooo and besides its subtle and fast.
I'm not a zoologist, I don't know how to capture snakes. If I had attempted to capture it, maybe I wouldn't had been alive to tell d tale.

it is found in africa mostly southern and eastern africa .I've never seen one in nigeria but you'll never know. Black mamba is the deadliest snake in the world, its like no other snake, while most snakes try to escape and only bite in self defence, black mamba is like a deranged assasin once it gets irritated it bites anything in its way. It delivers enough venom to kill a man in a single bite and believe me if you don't run it bites you over and over.ITS THE INSIDE OF THE MOUTH THAT ITS BLACK.

Reminds me of my stay at the Army Barracks in Minna. The one opposite NECO office.
Snakes are just like lizards there! Same with Rukuba [not sure of the spelling]barracks in Jos. Guess it's because of the rocks in those places.
I also stay @ military contonment (army barrack) minna, niger State. The barrack is not opposite NECO office oooo, it's opposite WAEC state office( red bricks building along tunga goro) after COE.

Omo you people gas stop all this snake killing agendas. Do we all see the massive infestations of lizards and other rodents in our homes?? When we have killed off all predators such is the outcome; save the ecosystem and stop mindlessly killing snakes.

FYI, black manba snakes are GREEN in colour. They just have very black mouths.

the relative length of the match stick to the snake...doesn't make it less a snake though.
