For those who have got their trv and those expectant, why isn't no one asking questions about the kind of food to go along with? Isn't that part of 'Travelling to Canada'? Anyway, when it's time, I will ask. Guys in Canny, pls be ready to answer my questions. Who they go read, they chop. I can't fit come and go and die on top book.

Bro you are way out of line with most of your assumptions.
Firstly the fastest way to enter Canadian workforce is with a college degree, Msc wages tend to be higher but with your 2-3yrs work experience in Nigeria which is equivalent to zero to the Canadian employer, after your Msc in Canada you will be completing for jobs with mostly people to 35-50 with not less than 10yrs Canadian work experience.

Secondly Canada don't discrminate certificates among there publicly funded institutions and finally PGWP is not insititution dependent.

Oga, did you see the "pun intended" part and broad grin and tongue sticking out emoticons? You should calm down o, life is not as serious as you are trying to make it seem.

First of all, you said i'm out of line with "most" of my assumptions. I made only two statements/assumptions and you shot both of them down so even your introductory statement is incoherent.

Secondly, your conclusion that i have 2-3 years work experience leaves a lot to be desired about your attention to detail. Read my post again. That was in reference to admission requirements for an MBA and not my work experience. If you had been attentive enough, you would have noticed a few pages back where i stated how many years of professional experience I have. I hope you aren't going for a research program o?

Was it really necessary for you to remind me that I do not have any Canadian experience? Isn't that like the common denominator of everybody on this thread who is applying for a trv? How then is that relevant to the discussion? Introducing the issue of competition from Canadians is absolutely beyond the scope of what was being discussed.

I have no beef with whether one applies to college or to university...for goodness sake I applied to two colleges! I was only inferring that Centennial and Carleton not giving me admission is their own loss and not mine. The person I sent that post to did not reply and so I'm really at loss as to the motive behind your intervention. Judging from this unwarranted aggression of yours, I'm guessing you got admitted into Centennial?

If you don't have a degree in Nursing yet, u'd be registering as a practical Nurse.. But u can come in to do a PGD program in critical care/gerontology/palliative care den move from there. But if u wanna come in upon completion of ur degree, den u can start the process for RN registration while studying either at PGD or Msc level.
NNE Thanks. Does it mean that there is no other way except to gain an admission and start the license and registration process. How tedious can it be, is it legal, what about my young family?

Are those field the most sort after or where they have shortage of nurses?
Then, how expensive can it get?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I need to get out there and experience the real nursing.

Hi All,

I applied via the paper route 04 June.
Medical Invite 09 July.
Medical Assessment 11 July.

Now 24 July, I just received a mail from Ghana that my Application to study or work has been approved.
(I am not sure of what that means).

My tracking message still shows being processed in Ghana, and I haven't received any message from VFS.

Please what could that mean fellaz.

Ogbeni you are the one taking things too seriously here, plus this your " IGNORE THE MESSAGE AND ATTACK THE MESSENGER APPROACH" is quite classic.
This is a public forum you should know that every discussion here is meant for public consumption so when I hypothetically said 2-3yrs is had nothing to do with you.
For what its worth you did not refute any of the misinformation you dished out there which I tried to debate and correct.

I don't really understand why people prefer doing medical upfront, despite medical, majority were still delayed.
I will advice people to spend wisely since medical fees are non refundable.
Always obey instruction, do medicals when ever you are asked to do so, SIMPLE.
Congratulations to my last born am so happy for him, passport request, mission fulfilled.
Now 4 family members in Ontario.
Am grateful to God and i will always be grateful.
Alhamdulilah.
CIC am so grateful oooooo
Wish you all the best.

You know some people stay so far away from Lagos, Abuja or PH. So you can imagine the number of times they would have to travel to Lagos, putting to consideration the dead traps we call roads. In addition, medical reports last for a year according to CIC. But if their reasons for the upfront is to fast track their applications, then it's a complete waste of time.....and increases tension the more. The two weeks silent period before I was called for medicals was really killing.....the medical call gave some relief and hope......so can't now imagine going for 6 weeks or more without anything....... kai! Canada high commission no dey try honestly!!!

The mail says
To facilitate your arrival in Canada, inform the officer of the reason for your visit (study or work)and present this letter with your passport.

Why I am confused here is that my passport is with them in Ghana as I submitted via the Paper route, so I wonder why they are giving me this STORY.

So therefore, I am asking has anyone got this similar mail prior to the passport being dispatched and visa issued

Situations and circumstance aare different.
Not everybody has the kind of liberty to leave work whenever they can so they'll prefer to do it once and for all since they believe in their app.

All in all that non refundable fee isn't big deal to some people.
There's also an instruction on the CIC website to do medicals if you can to increase the speed of ur app.
Well it's only ur opinion and it sud b respected.
Sure, you got it right, but all am after is just the fact that some people believes it boost chances of been granted TRV.
I only brought an opinion not decision.
Good luck.

I don't know why we have allowed our optimism to cloud the realistic.

Then we don't need advising anyone here on any situation. Because there can always be a first time something happens.

A 2.91 can't get admission into a canadian university for masters!...
I'll like to be proven wrong though...I'm opeen to that.

University of Ottawa is a bit nice in their admission consideration thus; I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in.

Although I'm yet to get my trv, but from my experience with other embassies, it is not unusual for the embassy to first contact you. You got that mail because your visa has been granted. Your documents is still with them, but soon would be sent to VFS, it is after then, that vfs will contact you to come for your documents......if I were you, I would start making preparations for flight and accommodation.
