I can just imagine the psychological torture you are going through but dont take it too hard> I know quite a number that moved on to better jobs after having their appointments terminated.

----What offence did u commit to have your appointment terminated ?

Make it look like u resigned. And give reasonable excuse for ur resignation.

Some companies aren't really bothered about getting your reference from your most recent employer so you might be able to rest easy if you are applying to such companies

Boss,you know what? i observed that alot of people tend to use the word 'dismissal' even if its a termination.He needs to explain further for us to conclude that way we can even determine if he has a case to present before the courts

Your experience is about what you can do. Depending on the reputation of the company, you could delete the organization's name and put the name of any of your friend's , family business name. Then add d responsibilities...

You should have tender your resignation before you are dismissed. Just appeal to your employer change your dismissed to resignation.

when typing ur cv. reason for leaving your former work, u simply say 'CONTRACT ENDED' the reference u just put some one close to u in de company and his contact. abi u wan type 'SACKED' or 'FIRED' ni na it be say u never ready to work

@OP be honest in everything you do in life. What if the next company you are employed to finds out about this dismissal and you get dismissed for this. So na to remove them too from your CV ba? Maybe you have concerns due to the nature of your dismissal though. Hard to advise you when the information is incomplete. Good luck.

Don't remove the experience. The gaps will leave recruiters wanting to know, why you have so much gap.

Simply say you resigned, period

If they ask you the reasons for resignation, say to pursue business.

Another way out of this is "retrenchment"

If your dismissal is not because of theft or fighting, please add that experience and look for an excuse to back it up, when they see your job end date. You can even say because of family relocation to another state.

an employee is a representative of that company so i can find many reasons (other than theft/fighting) why i wouldnt employ someone... disrespectful people, people that lie, rude people, people that dont get along with colleagues, people that are always late, people that dont follow (always challenge) the rules of the company, people with bad hygiene etc

Just like a potential employer would never like to hear a potential candidate dissing an ex employer.

OP, in this case the truth will not set you free, it will ruin you rather.

Accept the job and in a years time look for another one in case they find out. But no truth please. I used to be a recruiter.

Bro sorry for the dismissal. But if I may ask why were you dismissed from ur coy?
If you have worked there for like 5years, before you were dismissed there's no way you must include that in ur CV. Kus 5yrs is not 5days or 5weeks.
Also if you worked there for months and at least up to a year u can shun that. I hope you were not dismissed for theft or any form of misconduct? If yes there's no way they will contact your former coy before u will get employed in the new coy.

This world is a small place where you know somebody that knows another person that know you very well.

Finally if you were fired over minor misconduct I would advice you turn a new leaf in ur new coy if u get any. Take kia.

Why were u dismissed? If it was a general lay off (like it happened at Visa fone and some banks recently), then leave it on ur CV...But if the dismissal was occasioned based off a wrong doing, removing it from ur CV might be the best esp if u spent less than 3 years at d job...

That said, I'm sorry about your job loss, hope you find something soon.

Ya but it depends on y he was dismissed. It's very important.if it's a minor issue,He can state y he was dismissed with a cogent reason (s). If it's something that ll affect his chances of getting another job, it's better he remove it from his CV completely.

I was also dismiss frm my place of work because of reason ABC, i never remove the company name frm my CV because i wil nt allow my one year experience to waste, after staying home for 2 month God answer my prayer i was called for and interview i went, the second question i was ask y did u leave yr formal working i went silent for few mint and i explain every tin to them, they move to the next question after five question they said they wil get back to me and i left three days later i was called, has am talking to u now hv started traning with them by nextweek i wil start fully and get my employment letter.

In few weeks i wil share my story here jst hv faith and pray.
