can someone please tell GE(general electric) not to advertise job positions since it is highly impossible for one to be called up for an aptitude test or interview...i have applied for job positions advertised by GE since the time i graduated(2012) till this moment and all i get is regret mails...i mean one cant even be given the chance to show he or she is capable of working in the company...why advertise jobs when you end up sending regret mails...what rubbish is that!!!!!!.. ...i applied for the recent aviation role for mechanical engineers and still got a regret mail...why...

i will suggest they stop advertising job positions...its a bit insulting to young graduates...let them explicitly tell us how to be gainfully employed with them and save us the stress of applying...i look out for other opportunities too..

the requirements are have a 2;1 and an msc preferably...you meet up with all requirements and still get a regret mail...you come back to see a few persons on nairaland discussing about how they wrote GE test/interviews...and you wonder how they got invites in the first place......

I believe the problem with GE Nigeria is that they use their discretion and not really any laid down procedure.

I was a participant at the GE Garage in Lagos last year and there were hints of calling those who had CAD knowledge to setup and manage a venture for them. Waited but didn't receive any mail or call, only to meet a fellow participant at an HSE training early this year and he told me they handpicked few of them to come back for the programme.

The sad thing is that some of the guys chosen had no knowledge of CAD but we ( wey dey design for sleep and had works to show for it ) were neglected.

Although I still eye the parent company, the Nigerian administrators are quite something else.

It is not well with GE and give up on GE....they're legal scam Recruiter..they only obey 9ja rules and regulations for employment on multinationals... But their jobs are non existent...

...i tell you...forming activity....actually their job is to employ whom they want and send regret mails...very sweet easy job..

Though some people who school in Nigeria are employed,the bulk is foreign degrees that the want.
Truth is don't hope on GE unless you want serious heartbreak .

For written test it might be tourqe moment of couples, thermodynamics... but for oral it must be aerodynamics

I knew of someone who got a job with them but guess it was an in-house referral tins. Infact, he wa given a new corolla car on resumption. He's an experienced person anyway with HND in Elect Elect eng'r.
