there are some maths problems that are about theorems and proving them,so if the person claims to have found the proof,then the theorem will be used to test the proof..this page may not even contain the theorem,let alone the supposed proof

That math fit be fluid mechanics puzzle because in the branch of fluid mechanics in advance maths, so many unsolved puzzles. I wonder what all the profs of maths dey do since.

Kudos to him for making the country proud out there since he got awards apart from solving the puzzle. Oga poster was he received privately by the president in the villa? Cos neither the president nor the vp was present at the dinner. VP was at the morning session and head of service in the evening for the dinner. He was celebrated as well as other diasporans making the country proud.

that . . . might have been the case, but not neccesarily so.
If it involved proving something, then it could have taken well over 30 years. Consider Fermat's last theorem. Ridiculously simple in statement. But was solved more then three hundred and fifity years later. in . . . . I think 2007. The initial proof had over 100 pages and involved proving two other seemingly vastly different and seemingly unrelated theorems.

No one knew the answer prior to this. Same thing with the four color theorem, the poincare conjecture, and so on. Usually, no one knows the answer. But mathematics has this advantage, if you see the correct answer, you will know. Because there will be no errors. If the working is 100% correct, then it follows that the answer must be 100% correct. Simple logic.
