Henry simply attached to success. Even his only CL he attached to the great barca team. For France anytime Zidane is missing Henry never delivered

It is on record that Henry was happy with Zidanes retirement after Euro 2004. Henry felt Zidane slowed the game down and with Zidane out of the way, he would profit from rapid counterattacking footie he was used to at Arsenal. After struggling in qualifying, Domenech had to go beg Zidane to return to the fold, the rest is history.

I have watched all International tournaments since Henry's debut. He has not done anything outstanding on the International stage, he simply rode the coattails of his teammates. Christophe Dugarry did more for France than Henry, that's how unremarkable his international career was.

I would take DD over Henry in any big game, however I also consider Henry to be the most outstanding striker in EPL history. It's a hard one to call. I would choose Henry to prosecute a season and use DD for the big games if given the choice.
