Nneka went to visit some of her friends that lived off-campus. She told them about how chine 'broke' her heart.
'so that guy really had the guts to hurt u' her friend k.k said
'Really, what is making me really vexed is because he did so for just little thing. Because he saw me catching fun' Nneka said in a digusting manner
'He is a disciplined man, what were u expecting?' Oge, d oda friend said
'But u said his mom really likes u, can't u convince her to help u ask for his forgiveness' k.k later said
'Hmmmn, his mom supported him can u imagine?'
'Wait, is dat ur boyfriend not Chine Nwokocha?, is he having any seminar in the uni?' Oge said breaking a long silence that they had maintained.
'Yes,Yes. He is having something like that' Nneka said as she stood up in curiosity
'Oh!!!, there is a rumour he is seeing someone in the school hostel. Some girl, she studies MB...her name is....erm....i can't recall' Oge said
'Wait a minute!!, Sandra....sandra right' Nneka said in annoyance
'Yes, exactly thats her name. How do u know?' Oge replied
'OMG, dat little rat. Gosh; Nneka ranted about angrily, dat girl i will break her legs.....so she has the effontery to go back to chine' Nneka said as her heartbeat grew wild
'This is serious o, u know her' K.K said
'If chine is not mine, he can't be hers either' Nneka said in an angry tone
'Nneka, u want to take revenge or what?' oge asked
'Are u asking me or do u know already?.....No am not taking revenge only on her, even chine will suffer for hurting me' She suddenly broke down in tears, ' I love him, i don't understand why he doesn't feel the same.....no...ooow he has gone back to that girl. I can't take it, i will deal with them both....they can't be happy while am sad' She later said

'Nneka, don't do anything stupid' K.K said
'Yes Nneka, forget about him. He is not worth it' Oge too added
'Mmph, nothing both of u say can change my decision...dat girl and boy must pay cos my heart is too heavy to carry this burden' She said as she walked out...
That fateful day, sandra was coming home from visiting a friend off-campus. She was rushing home because the seminar finished that day and so chine wanted to meet her before he leaves. She passed the shortcut route she and her rommies always take.... The road is never associated with any crime so she freely walked there..but suddenly she felt a sharp pain on her back as she turned, she saw a huge tall man that slapped her...she fainted..

When she woke, she was in an uncompleted building. One of the men poured water on her face, faintly she saw a woman in the middle dressed in blue shirt and black trousers with heeled shoes.The woman face seemed familiar, as she was trying to recollect who dat was... She heard a voice:
' Hello, Mrs. Sandra Nwokocha...how is our little darling doing?'
Looking up, now clearly she saw Nneka. Before she could reply, a heavy slap swept her face...
'Thats just the introduction' Nneka said
'Nneka, Nneka....What have i done to you?' Sandra said in tears
'You are asking, you urself know... You took my man....Because of that man i stayed back here in Nigeria when my parents are overthere in US enjoying themselves' Nneka said as she hit her this time with a whip
'Nneka, stop doing this. You know its not right, you can be caught and arrested....you will tarnish your image..you also know u are lying... I diiiidn't take ur man...we are just friends.....he told me its over between both of u....i didnt want to come back into his life....am not e...e..e..ven in his life' sandra said as saliva dropped from her mouth due to excessive crying...

'Am not a fool, girl' Nneka said as she whipped her to a point it seems she was unconcious... Nneka was wild with obsession, she later shouted: 'Where is ur lover? Where is Chine?'
To save him, Sandra lied:
'He left today, i don't know...........maybe .....he... Will be....backk...tooommmorroow' she said in a shaky voice
'Stop lying to me' Nneka barked
' She might be right, d seminar was over today and some of the hosts have left' One of the thug with them said
'Okay, den guys we will operate in his house....he must have gone back to his home in onitsha...Tonight we will pay him a visit....and u if u like speak....my eyes her on u' She conluded to sandra, 'untie and let her go' She told the thugs

Sandra walked as fast as she can, when she got to the road she fainted....

Sandra woke up, she saw herself on a bed, a woman was by her side attending to her. She tried to get up but pain filled her nerves...
'what happened?' a voice asked, it was her room-mate ifeoma
'Ify...Ify...is that you?' Sandra said trying to confirm the voice.
'Yes, its me. Lara called to tell us she found u on the road, u were lying there helplessly' Ify replied with tears in her eyes as she sat close to sandra

'I,..I... Chine!!, call chine pls...i..ii have to tell him something' she said weakly
'You have not answered my question, what happened?, i know u were not robbed...ur belongings are still intact...' Ify replied

'Ify do me d favor, call chine....i will tell u wat happened just do this now before its too late'
'okay fine, chichi is on her way and so is loveth...i will be back' her friend said and left....

Chine came as fast as he could:

'where is she?, where is sandra?' he said in a fearful tone
'Nothing serious chine, the doc. Said she can be discharged today but gave her some pills' chichi said
'okay, which room is she?'
He entered and saw sandra sitting on the hospital bed with ify and loveth by her side, chichi followed closely.
'Sandra, what happened?, what sort of accident is this?' Chine said
'its not too serious, she is really strong, she is already getting better' ify assured him
Chine sat on a chair close to the bed end,
'Chine, pls dont return home. Something bad will happen if you do' Sandra later said
'What??, bad??, what do u mean by that?'
'Its Nneka, she..she...did this to me. She said she will take revenge on you too......'sandra said as she burst into tears
'What!?!, my mom, my siblings...they are all in my place. They came for a visit' Chine exclaimed
'This is serious o, that girl will get into bars for what she did to you' Loveth said
'I...I gat to go now....my family.... I dont know how obsession can run someone mad' Chine said looking confused
'Chine dont go alone, call the police it will be better'
'No, i will go, u girls should call the police.....am on my way' he said as he hurried straight out of the hospital...

'Do you know his residence, sandy?' Ify asked
'Yes, i remember...call the police right now'......

His sisters were watching tv while his mom was reading the papers at the balcony..
'your brother is not back, its not dat far....why is his fone not rechargeable too?' his mom said in disgust
Suddenly they heard a loud bang at the door.
'Who could that be?, that cant be bro. chine' iruka said
'lemme check, am comin' Nkem said as she opened the door; Aunty Nneka, what are u doing here?' she concluded in shock
'ShhhShhh, where is your brother?' she said as she pushed Nkem out of her way and entered the sitting room with two hefty looking men...
'Nneka, how are you?, who are this men with you?' Chine mom asked in suprised
'Where is chine?, i came for him....i can see he has visitors...call him' Nneka replied as she put one of her leg on the centre table...
Nkechi stood up and said:
'Sit down, lets offer u someth....
'sit down??, do i look like i came here to play?...well it seems u people want to spoil my show but i will still carry out my mission. Where the hell is chine?' Nneka said
Chine's mom was getting confused, she cant believe Nneka was someone like this....
'Nneka, i dont get u....i took u as my daughter...whatever u want to do with my son...you know d law will catch up on u'
'I dont care woman, until when i do wats in my mind will i have rest...u no i can get away with watever i do....d world is already all about money and wealth....for d last time, bring chine out or i search the house.....guys cut the telephone lines.....seize their fones' She said in an authorotative voice

Nneka, love no be by force.

'Nneka, what are you doing?' an angry chine stormed into the sitting room
'Chine, you are back.....where have u been son....i dont know what came upon her...she said she wants to see you' his mother said in a sad tone
'well, well, well....who do we have here?, chine the heartbreaker.......chine you looked into my face and said its over i agreed, but you still went back to dat thing...i cant take dat chine....dats an insult to me....' she concluded as she continued hitting him with tears...
'Nneka, what u just said now is no reason for u to do what you did....i will say this right to your face: You are mentally imbalanced!!!, you are crazy, you are obsessed!!' Chine screamed and with this Nneka got angry and took the flower vase on d centre table and hit on his head...
Chine's mom screamed with tears, his sisters were shaking as tears dropped their eyes,Immediately after doing this, Nneka begin to feel remorse, she stood close to where chine fell and started crying, salivating she said: 'chine forgive me pls wake up.... I am sorry...its the devil pls wake up' The thugs she came with told her to quickly leave with them as they heard the police siren....
'The police,' Iruka shouted excitedly ....

Before they could make any escape, the police came and took them away, chine was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Chine was rushed to intensive care, when he regained conciousness he saw his mom and sisters by his side.
Nkem kissed him on his forehead that was bandaged and said in a tearful voice:
'Thank God, we didn't lose you'
Adjusting himself to a preferrable position, he said:
'For how long have i been here?'
'After the operation, about 12hours.... You are a survivor, bro' Nkechi said smiling happily
'Am really tired, my head still aches' Chine said touching his forehead
'The doc. Said you should rest son...we will leave' his mom said....

Chine slept well, when he woke up he didnt feel d pain anymore. His mother was already with the food so he eat and was given some pain-killers. After resting for a while, his sister asked him:
'Bro, i was wondering..who called the police?, did you know that auntie nneka was coming?' Nkechi said
'i thought of that myself' his mom said
'Yes big bros, who saved us? We are really indebted to that person' iruka added
Chine, adjusting his sitting position said: 'A good samaritan, perhaps'
'C'mon bro, u know the person. How did the good samaritan find out about auntie nneka's plan' Nkem also said
'Hmmmn, you also don't have neighbors around you'
'Okay, fine.. I know who the person is' chine later said
'Who??' his mom asked
'Sandra' he blurted out
'Which sandra?' Iruka asked
'Oh!!, Aunty sandra, the one mummy sent out the....' Nkem stopped talking as she noticed her mom face was not encouraging at all.
'Its she right??! How did u get in contact with that girl again?' his mom inqired

Sandra whom they reject becomes their savior. Ride on

After a long silence he said:
' she is in the university, remember...she participated in the seminar our company hosted thats how we met again... There was nothing going us between us i don't know why or how Nneka got to know and took such stupid step. Mom can u imagine she and some thugs beat up sandra!, she had to be admitted to the hospital to see how severe it was. But she told me about what Nneka said she wants to do that was y i came home. She and her friends called the police.' Chine concluded
His mom suddenly felt as if a huge weight fell from her shoulders, taking a deep sigh, she said:
'hmmmmn, so sandra saved us regardless of what i did to her' she said this looking worried
'Yes mom, that is it'
Just then a nurse came in and said they had visitors.
'Well, they can come in; his mom said to the nurse, who could that be?' she asked her daughters
'No clue' they responded
Just then, sandra and ify came in. Sandra was holding a small polythene nylon which contains a small size 'cooler' and Lucozade boost.
Suprised, she managed to speak:
'Good afternoon ma, good afternoon chhh..iii..nne' she said in cracky voice. Ify followed suit.
'how are you feeling now?, hope ur head doesn't hurt anymore?' chine asked trying hard not to be too friendly because of his mom.
'No am really better' sandra said hiding her smile
'So how did u know i was admitted here?' chine later asked
'Your employee who is still in the uni told me so' she answered
'Okay, am sorry sandra for what happened. Nneka is now behind bars, i heard she may be granted a bail'
'Emm, sandra we 're grateful for what you did' Chine's mom managed to say
'Don't mention ma' Sandra said as she gave Nkem what she brought for chine

'Thanks sandra, i appreciate' chine said
'When will you be discharged?' ify asked as sandra nodded her head in agreement
'hmmmn, the doc said tomorrow'
'okay, bye ma....and chine take care'
As they were about to leave, chine's mom called out: 'Sandra, we would like you and your friend here to come tomorrow at our place for chine's recovery party. We are hosting few friends and well wisher'
'O...ooo..kaay, i will think about that ma. Thats nice of you' she said as she and her friends left hurriedly

'Do you still like sandra?' his mom said this time in a serious tone
After a long silence, chine later opened up:
'Yes i do. But i will still get over it. I know you don't want her because of her background' he said as he place his heads down
'mmmhn, sometimes people change their attitudes' his mother only said as she stood up for fresh air

I cant believe this story is about to end ...just two or more update and am thru.....

Minutes later, she came back to the ward...

After a long silence was held, she said: 'if i...... Emmmm.... Wat if i.... Okay fyn, i will say this...maybe i was wrong son, she was neva after ur money...there is nothing like class or castes....love is what truly matters....if you both....i mean...if u really still love her...and surely she may still feel the same....both of you are free to make any decision about ur relationship' his mom concluded as her face was facing the floor

'Mom, thank you so much' chine cried out with joy as he hugged his mother lightly


His sisters apologized to him for their past improper conducts concerning sandra and they all laughed together in one piece

After the party, chine and sandra became best of friends. Sandra visited him often and so did he.

Soon he opened up his feelings for her which she gladly welcomed. She told him to wait until she is through with her education.
The day she graduated, chine decided to suprise her at the after party.
'So whats d suprise?' she said as he took out the veil he carefully covered her eyes with....
'This' chine said as he knelt down, opening a box where the shimmering 12 karat diamond ring; will you marry me?' he concluded as he smiled in a hazy manner

Sandra stood there happily, she couldn't believe her ears and eyes. 'Yes,Yes,Yes, i will with all my heart' she shouted excitedly
He quickly put the shining object into her middle left finger and they both kissed... It was such an emotional moment for onlookers and family members as well.

After six months, they got married and lived as one happy family......

Nkem went to the OXFORD to study law,,
Iruka took over the family's company while Nkechi went to nursing school.

Chine's mom sold her home at Imo and travelled to Awka where chine and his beloved wife stayed in.
After four years of marriage, they relocated to the U.S.
Nneka spent one year in jail before she was granted bail, her family were bitterly annoyed with her so out of fear she stayed back in Nigeria and started life afresh.

The Nwokocha family lived together happily with a bright hope of the future....
