This is the comment I have been waiting for. The only intelligent response so far. Surgery on a 95 year old is not like operating on a 30 year old. At that age, the risks far outweigh the benefits.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT EXPERIMENT. TO THIS END, I'LL APPLY THE UTILITARIAN PRINCIPLE, VIZ: "GREATEST HAPPINESS FOR THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE." IN RESPECT WHEREOF, SPENDING 15m ON THE 95 YEAR OLD DOES NOT BRING GREATEST HAPPINESS TO THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE. HENCE, GRANDMA WHO - IN ANY CASE IS PLAYING EXTRA-TIME - WOULD HAVE TO MAKE A DO WITH NO SURGERY. IF THE PAIN BECOMES UNBEARABLE, A RECOURSE TO EUTHANASIA PERFECTLY RESOLVES THE SITUATION.

Spending the money on your dearest gramma is not the issue. If spending it will even add one more year I will. Her prayers for my love for her will yield trillions for me.

However the procedure might take her life cos no surgery doesn't require anastasia.

My husband grandma was in that position two years back. The Dr advised them not to as it might fasten her death. We lost her at a rip age of 101years.

A 95yrs old person has lived out all her life n may even die d nxt 5, 10, 15yrs. If I invest N15million in d nxt 10yrs i will become a multi millinaire n help other young pple in d family. So let her die i wl contribute 1 million 4 her burial.

That's the reason oyibo do scheme called health insurance.

On the topic. Why not. If you are able to generate 16 million you are well capable of regenerating 15 million except if you won a lottery or stole it. Then it is either a gift or not yours respectively and so you will not miss it either way cos easy come easy go.

I will spend all the money on her as follows: #1.5m to do funeral, write a cheque for #14.5m in her name, put the cheque in her casket and bury her with it, to pay the doctors on the other side for the surgery grin grin grin

The question in return is: If she needed the surgery to be alive in order to sign and will all her estates to you would you pay the 15million? If you would keep her alive because of what she needs to do for you, that should be the highest level of selfishness. One year alive is better than $1billion.
