Before PayPal came to Nigeria, I was using Benin republic PayPal with Nigeria address and ip address but some Nigerians misused it and PayPal blocked any Nigeria issued card with Nigeria address on their system and the cards of those who scaled through then were removed immediately they expired but mine was left for me to update. However, the idiotic bank I was using then messed up everything for me by giving me a card that was not activated there by telling me the issue I was experiencing at that time was done by paypal, I had to vent my anger on PayPal base on what my bank said by copying all their executives in the mail from their then CEO to the least among them. They called and spoke with me regarding the issue, in the process of scrutinizing their system to resolve the issue; they found out that my account was created in Nigeria and I have also been accessing the account in Nigeria. They immediately informed me with a detailed information of how the account has been accessed and limited the account. I was told by PayPal that I should hold on till when PayPal comes to Nigeria to open another account or if I travel to another country then I should open another PayPal account but it should not be accessed from another country. It was after the whole scenario that my bank called to inform me that the card has been properly activated as it wasn't done properly when I was experiencing that issue. #Medicine after death.

As for ebay, ebay has been there for Nigerians except they were not able to make payment.

boss you are making things complicated and confusing. PayPal is very simple. I only read the first link and i saw where you are getting it wrong,now I will post a link here to buttress my point and maybe my point isn't clear to you I will state it again. If you have a PayPal account which is yours and you can defend it ,you cam use it anywhere in the world at anytime as long as there is no PayPal restrictions on that country. The first link you posted is about someone having 2 PayPal accounts one in UK and one in Spain,the truth is eventually he is gonna have problems . But let me ask you,if an American business man visits France or UK for 2 weeks and needs to make a payment using PayPal does that mean he has to get a France PayPal? Hell NO all he needs to do is just in touch with PayPal support desk and tell them he in in France and wants to use his PayPal,he will be asked questions and once he can satisfy them that is all. Just like Nigeria is now saying I you have a Nigeria debit bank card ,you must notify tlyour bank before traveling so that you can use you card abroad .

if the PayPal account is yours ,and you are an American and just got a job in Nigeria ,does that mean you wont use ur PayPal again? No! All u have to do is send them a mail and tell them you will be using ur PayPal account from Nigeria ,your account will be placed on special mode ,the moment you logon from Nigeria,it will be limited and you will be asked your address,ssn and other vital details they will verify your email and that is all. But the corner corner way Nigerians are using is what is making PayPal look difficult.this was exactly the same way ppl exaggerated eBay until eBay opened up for Nigeria and now Nigerians can see how easy it is to operate a eBay account. The moment PayPal allows Nigeria to receive money you will see that there is nothing special about PayPal once the account is yours and you are presenting no false information

You are 100% right but as for me, I prefer to access mine with VPN instead.

It is not easy these days to easily get over their robot antagonist attacks of when and how fund should be leaving ones account if the account is fresh.

if you are traveling and you are taking up residence in another country ,yes you must open another PayPal account of your new country of residence but if you are just visiting a country for a very short period of time then you don't need to. If you are an American visiting Nigeria for 5 days and need to buy something with PayPal will you open another Nigerian PayPal? All you need to do is contact PayPal and explain . It is a very simple issue
