If the match ends at 1-0 then Iraq should be given an automatic qualification for the next round . They have tried abeg. |

FBS: That's the way i see it too. I am not even sure Nigeria can beat Iraq!!! They were solid throughout apart from Villa's header. |

The annoying bee like sound in the stadium reminds me of the bernabeu |

~Sauron~:Mucho credit to their manager/coach. Sound tactics from his side and I hope Uncle Amodu is watching. Now I don't know if Spain was weak or Iraq simply played well. They didn't just defend, they also tried to attack. Impressive. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 4:58pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
ogazi007:because he is not iniesta. |

ogazi007: We d best! I'm wondering why we're not seeing a Manure or Chelski player at the tournament |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Kx: 5:03pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
How come the winning team is d one under so much pressure? Self imposed pressure wont make for a good world cup outing. Spanish Body language, even with a goal victory, made it look like the iraqis just won fifa world cup |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 5:04pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
Kx:because they were expected to give Iraq some spanking. Like say 5-0. Somehow you feel Iraq actually won. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Cristalz(f): 5:11pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
Hi guys. What happened, Spain couldn't put more than a lone goal past Iraq?? Very surprising. Iraqis that good or Spain had a bad day? |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by ogazi007(m): 5:13pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
@fbs! somehow the 3points is what matters. iraq impressed me,their 3points is sure if they can put up this brilliant performance against new zealand. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 5:29pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
ogazi007:@ogazi007 Iraq I think impressed everyone. They gave their all. Never even knew they had a national team. Cristalz:@crizzle, Iraq was solid throughout. I recommend that they give them automatic slot in the next round. |

To prevent them from getting suicide bombers on the pitch, right? Had a lot to do, couldn't watch the game. SA/NZ. . .hmm. Doubt that it's going to be that exciting with those short Bafana Bafana dudes trying their best to get their heads to the ball. NZ ain't so great though, so the short boyz should win. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 5:44pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
Cristalz:Didn't know they were short. I thought you only dig guys with lasagna and Dark hair? |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by allboyz(m): 5:56pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
Cristalz: hehehehe |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Cristalz(f): 6:02pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
@FBS Not just 'dark' hair. . .great dark hair. Bafana Bafana boys are short. . .when they play tonight you'll see. Like 90% of them are short. . .as if the coach deliberately picked guys of the same height so he could have some weird kind of uniformity. I'm tipping them to win 'cos they play with aggro. . .probably 'cos they know they are too short to make a lot happen. Their strikers needed a lot of work last time I saw them play, but they should be better now. |

Almost time. . .whoz watching SA/NZ? |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Cristalz(f): 7:26pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
@FBS Check the SA boyz out. . .all are approximately the same short height, except for the albino-like dude. Not criticizing. . .I just find the uniformity very funny. |

Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 7:32pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
Cristalz:you mean Booth? the guy aint no albino and he is the tallest guy in this tourney. I felt he was booed throughout the first match. Does anyone know why? |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 7:34pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
this vuvu-whatever-they call it is getting on me nerves. get the bees off the stadia. or maybe it sounds better if you are in the stadium. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Cristalz(f): 7:35pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
FBS:Nor be albino? Uh oh. . .my bad. Oh, I just noticed the extra pointy half-triangle nose. As for the booing, the guys on Supersport were talking about it. They said he wasn't being booed. . .the fans were only calling his name. When they see him, they go ''Booooooooooooooooooth''. And as the ''th'' isn't exactly loud, it ends up sounding like a boo. |
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by khanye(m): 7:36pm On Jun 17, 2009 |
FBS: He was booed throughout the match and i wonder why Cristalz: NZ is winning Sa dont have a team! |
