I am asking because the account will only have the money and the statement will only show the money as I just opened d account although I wish to explain this in ma sop so it doesn't look like lodgement of capital.

@domexx007, i contacted a friend in Canada who did that for me.

@ the friend who asked for the meaning of gcms file, try google no offence meant, it is a request usually made by persons whose study leave application had been refused just to know what the mind of the V.O was at the time of refusal.

@notarizing doc, if ure in Lagos, find your way to Ikeja High Court, just after LASUTH; If ure on the mainland, there are so many notaries public close to the High Court in Igbosere.

i want to take it that ur uncle is ur sponsor. please correct me if i am wrong. if indeed he is ur sponsor abeg include his SOA. since u are working u may want to also include ur SOA, employment letter, payslips etc to show employnent evidence...as for the differing surname, let ur sponsor(ur uncle i assume) clear this in a sponsorship letter, affidavit of sponsorship. by the way, in what way is he your uncle? if he is say, ur mum or dad's sibling u could provide evidence such as ur mum's marriage cert etc..

Let your sponsor states the amount he/she is transferring to you and the purpose in the letter of sponsorship I.e for payment of tuition/
accommodation. I think that will clear the VO mind.
Secondly, are u going for UG or PG?
If UG, I guess u will be fine with the above but if PG, the VO will expect u to have some savings since u are a graduate and possibly u must have been working.
