firstly u need an USB OTG. After that u have to download this app called "game keyboard" install it and open connect ur OTG with the USB controller and then plug it to your phone. In the interface of the app, click on the box on the left top of ur screen, a list of input device will pop up. Select native USB controller and then start the app it will minimize itself. Then open up fifa16 and change the control mode. It will signify that an external controller is detected. That's it.

Note : there are still some settings to configure the controller to the normal control we are used to.

That's not my team,I was unfairly matched up to play with the person.
For the online season,it`s just like the offline seasons,only difference is you would be playing real people,its quite hard,I`ve abandoned mine till I get better players..it also has its divisions just like the offline season,if you garner a certain number of points,you get promoted to another division.

I use a Wi-Fi connection to play it too.
