This was what a teacher by the name Jide Ositale did to 10yr old Gbenga Daniel Philemon at Leaders foundation School Ijebu ode for not doing his assignment .The Proprietress of the school when confronted on why she could allow such a corporal punishment to be meted out to a mere ten year kid put under her care boasted that the parents can go to blazes, that if they are tired of the school,they can take their kid away.

The mother of the kid who was in tears when she spoke to CKN News this afternoon said the boy is traumatized and afraid to go to school again. This is a big warning to would be parents to beware of LEADERS FOUNDATION SCHOOL, IJEBU ODE..

The proprietress has boasted that not even the State government can tell her what to do in her school..The parents of young Gbenga are calling on Governor Ibikunle Amosun and State Ministry of Education to look into this matter urgently to save other students being brutalized in the school daily.

This might be `transfered aggression'. The teacher probably had a bad day at home and decided to come and vent it on the students. But this one the proprietress is boasting like a woman possesed, some big brothers never way-lay her for road before, abi? ok na, there's always a ``first time'' to everything.

Corporal punishment never proves anything, it only makes the receiver hardened.

I remember threatening my dad that I would report him to Child welfare. That day I regretted and Heaven wept... ...ever since I was 14, if you like beat me with hot iron, I won't bat an eyelid#AfricanWayOfGyming

But it's all good, I ain gon flog my teenagers when I have them, I find grounding, detention and gadget seizures more effective

That is how we grew up and learned in Nigeria then and we are better for it.

In fact, it came to a point that, we mastered various methods of enduring those canes without showing any sign and emotions and after the ordeal, look at how your fellow guys and girls will be congratulating you to the disdain of the teacher, sometimes the teacher will even be feeling shameful if we did not show any emotions despite their best efforts.

I got lots of bragging rights then, today's kids are aja butter, imagine how no one is talking about the kid's failure to do his assigment, even the bible said; spare the rod and spoil the child.
