I think the judgment is very correct but would the 5 years jail term bring back the dead?

Just asking.

To ansa ur question, it wouldn't bring back d dead but it could atleast help somone recosider thr decision to drive undr the influence. Bearing in mind dat ur recklessness can send u to prison.

She was said to have been drunk and driving erratically. Supo Sasore was very appalled by the case then that LASG was committed to getting Dr Suraj justice. Any other average person would have probably completed the sentence by now. Some celeb misbehave anyhow. She is more focused now and that might lead to early release but justice cannot be denied. I think Supreme Court will agree with both High Court and Appeal court ruling to send to jail. I cannot imagine the Supreme Court taking the view that the lower court (magistrate court) interpreted the law better in this case.

Men I didn't know this case has lingered on for so long... But still, if Jonathan had won the 2015 presidential election, Ibinabo would have walked free and justice would have been thwarted.

I'm patiently waiting til it gets to the turn of Dasuki and his cohorts.

Please don't be so unfair to GEJ. The case happened long before GEJ. Her lawyer has cleverly delayed things, going from High Court to Appeal Court. She lost high court case and GEJ could have influenced it in her favour. But did not. Everybody has the right to exhaust all legal avenues if they can afford it.
Aside Yar'Adua, no other 9ja leader has respected legal pronouncements like GEJ since end of Shagari's regime.

she could have killed again cos she was drunk just few days at a public event.
exactly what happened some years ago.

Guess she has a drinking problem. Instead of her to avoid alcoholic beverages, it appears from your comment she still indulges in taking them.

I have addressed this point before. Go back and read my response. I know why courts give certain decisions especially in criminal matters: deterence, correction, exemplary etc. My point was taken in the context of comparing 100k and 5 years jail term. The guy I quoted said 100k won't bring the dead back and I said 5 years won't do it either. I hope I made myself clear.

She had partied and was driving under the influence of alcohol when she killed the Dr. The man has since gone, but his family must have been bearing the scars ever since. But this woman has no iota of remorse, showing her kids in USA, enjoying the good will of the last government while you sent someone else's father to the great beyond. Well Thank God justice has prevailed, not that it would bring back the man, but she can now understand the consequences of her actions

only if you looked at it from a different point of view and not a myopic one you will know that statement translates to the situation of a person's life. In her case, her situation changed from good to bad and in the case of Olajumoke hers changed from bad to good. I pray we all experience better situations than that which Olajumoke is experiencing right now... P.s I hope we win west ham over the weekend... Cheers to you and Glory Glory Man Utd

et u Fiberesima! some people think they can do whatever pleases them because they have fame and money. just 5 yrs jail term that will run concurrently they are now crying forgetting that they ave sent a fellow human being behind the cloud permanently. I think this will serve as a detterent to others.
