It's not the screen. Take it to computer village, would cost about 8k to fix. It's not the screen!!!
NB: This fix is cheaper than a screen replacement cost. Count yourself lucky!!

I hope you have some sort of back up for all your phones data? It would all be lost. If you had your phone rooted, you would have to re-root and specify to the technician the android version you want or else he/she would put whichever they feel is best!!!

Some models of S4 have limitations. Especially those ones tied to US mobile phone networks. You can only update to Lollipop if the lollipop for such phones are available OTA

You may be unable to upgrade because there are no longer any updates for your device. You may still update by downloading the files online and installing via odin. Takes some know how sha.
