My school granted an enrollment extension, so i’ll still be joining them this summer semester which started April 11th.

The reason they gave for the delay is that the alien office in Berlin was/is overwhelmed by the refugee situation (to cut the long story short)

My candid advice for students admitted to Berlin Institutions - apply for your visa in time (at least 5 - 6 months before your enrollment). Otherwise, use admission letters from other institutions from other cities, if you have that.

I think the situation is getting better now that most EU countries are now rejecting and returning the refugees.

Good luck to all.

Wow... Congrats Hampy.

Share with us please. How was it all sorted out? What advice do you have for students admitted to schools in Berlin? Are you resuming in the summer semester or your admission was deferred to next winter?

Hi everyone,

Please house, has anyone ever tried doing Form A transaction in Abuja or any northern state?
I visited some banks in Abuja and was told that Form A is possible only if it's a school account.

Please house, anyone?

I remember how I shared my stories of challenges in part 1, and testified in part 2, so shall all who have ever posted in part 2, share their testimony of rejoicing in this part 3.

Please, I need answers. My birthday certificate, baptism card and immunization card have my name as Ikenga Chukwunonso Josephat ; while my education certificates have my name as Ikenga Nonso Josephat. Will that be a problem during my visa application? If so, what will I do?

it shouldn't be a problem, you probably need to swear an affidavit on the birth certificate or just swear a new affidavit of birth disposed on you by the head of the family, the rest shouldn't raise much concern.

Congratulation for the Breakthrough... More blessings.....!

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by weirdarkhitekt(m): 7:32pm On Apr 17, 2016
justwise:

What is the difference between those two?

Not sure about master point but you can post the link here..will have a look at it.

They offer similar services and you can choose either but I prefer daad.de for searching for courses and application requirements while study-in.de has more information on application processes. Getting information from both websites is the best. Daad.de is run by the daad (German academic exchange service)
While study-in.de is run by the ministry of education and research.

Masterportal.eu is also a website like the two above but it is not Germany specific, it covers the entire European continent.

Pls so as to avoid unnecessary questions here, I am thinking of reading one of the previous threads. But 468 *2 pages! Ain't easy o. Which is more instructive? Thread one or two. Or do I just forget both previous threads and focus on this thread? Kindly advice

Study-in is same as the "All courses of study" part of daad haven't you noticed? You can get every on daad.de. As regards course search tho.

@Ignorantguru couldn't quote you again as oga justwise locked the gate already grin, sorry I'm actually also taking A2 classes so I really don't have any book to spare. Hopefully you'd work something out smiley

3.86 out of what??.. 4 or 5??

If its over 5.. ur German CGPA is... 1.8
If over 4... ur German CGPA is.... 1.1

Anywhich way.. u still good to go as most german schools require at least 2.5 for masters programs so ur chances for admission are great...

Note however, that Jena is not the kind of place you survive if you hope to get your funds from jobs. It is cheaper to live there though.

Well, I don't really have time, from time to time I will write a mini article on my top ten cities to study in Germany, considering the most important factors for people coming from Nigeria. The scores will be weighted and analysed.

This will definitely be biased as you haven't lived everywhere. And if you speak German, a city can go from 0 to 100 really quickly, more so if someone gets the ultimate student job: Werkstudent!
