Source:https://businessdayonline.com/2016/04/nigerian-travellers-squeezed-as-foreign-airlines-stop-ticket-sales-in-naira/ Ladies and gentlemen, this change is getting real!!! We warned about this on here a few months ago. Its a "Venezuela" on our hand, our government should be looking out for everything they did and do the opposite. But sadly they replicate all their policies here, of course we will have the same results. 30 Likes 2 Shares

NavierStokes: For your mind you don make sensible comment. shior. Other passengers who are unable to pay for tickets using elevated black markets may have to fly local carriers such as Arik to other countries. That is your solution unless arik doesn't fly there make we manage this dollar scarcity. 37 Likes 3 Shares |

I await the responses from all of the economically illiterate Buhari apologists who will "explain" how this is supposedly a "good" thing, how foreign airlines are only "portfolio" investors, and how this shows that "buying local" is the answer to all of Nigeria's problems. There's just no way around it: Buhari's nonsensical economic policies are threatening to undo any good that may result from his alleged "war on corruption". It's simply astonishing that the man should have spent 30 years in the wilderness seeking to regain power, without ever bothering to at least try and learn the rudiments of economics in the meantime. Unlike Obasanjo with his farms and Transparency International work, it's not as if Buhari was particularly busy doing anything else either! 54 Likes 3 Shares |

vedaxcool: So how did my first post then become nonsensical, if you agree that Arik doesn't fly all routes and even if they do will not have the capacity to meet the demand. The way some of you display arrogance on here is appalling. 21 Likes |

bigtt76:Airline tickets from Ghana has always . cheaper than Nigeria ,during the tenure of gej,the minister of aviation then took the case up with the airlines but later soft pedalled . The truth about the Nigeria situation is not the slump in oil prices but the sluggishness and ineptitude of buhari last year when he wasted over 7,months in constituting a sound economic team which would have seen these things and planned for them, buhari was busy calling ministers"noise makers " then. The reality is it willl take nigeria more than 2 years to get out of this buhari mess, because even the government hasn't even started any policy yet to tackle the economic problem 40 Likes 1 Share |
