From Genesis 1:2 to 25, God said "let there" be light, etc. But in verse 26, he said "let us" make man in our own image.

Do you know the second person when he said "us" ?

Let there be light is a command. And holy spirit is that force that made it happen. Just like a voice command on a smart TV. Just say it and it will happen as you have said. If man can invent voice command, don't you thing God can do more?

"Let us make man in our image" God was talking to the Word (Jesus) and his angels. They are all in the image and likeness of God. They are referred to as "Sons of God" every other things were made by command which God's active force made happen. But as for man, God didn't say let there be man. He actually molded man by himself and gave it a breath of life and he became a living soul.
