The information is NOT for vulcanizers, it is for the Car Owners and Drivers! Aren't car owners or the drivers the ones that have the duty of care for their vehicles?

I mentioned vulcanizers because they the professional here. If they inform the car owners today, what of those that will buy car next month and beyond? Unless it's done regularly. But if all vulcanizers are educated on this, they will continue to pass it on.

THIS 32psi OR 35psi IS IT APPLICABLE TO WORN OUT CARS AND OLD ONES.

COS MY FATHERS OLD MERCEDES IS ALWAYS LOADED WITH 65psi YEAR ROUND EVEN WHEN HE CHANGES TIRES, AND I HAVE JUST CHECKED THE WHOLE DOORS I COULDNT FIND THIS INFORMATION.

If you can't find the information, I'll suggest you reduce all of them to 35. The recommended pressure can't be more than that

FRSC OFFICIAL: Oga Sir! please Park well, I can see your tyre pressure looks 50psi from where I stand. Can I have a look at your recommended tyre pressure.

DRIVER: Oga FRSC! I believe it's about 50psi like you Rightly said, no need to confirm.

FRSC OFFICIAL: Please Sir, come down from the car and let us do our job.

*checks car* two minutes later!
*confirms it's 32psi written on the car*

FRSC OFFICIAL: Oga you are under arrest for over-utilizing and pressuring your tyres. Fine is N50,000
*we have POS machine if you don't have cash*

I just bought four brand new tires yesterday (A Three - 205 by 65) and it is boldly written on them that the air pressure should be 44psi. What should I do considering the fact that what is written on my car is not up to that.

Then your recommended tyre size might not be 205 by 65. Check the pix I attached my recommended tyre size is 195 by 60 R15

But wait ooo..... I'm confused here. what about pressures written on d tyres Some are 42,48,50 and so on....

1. Buy only the recommended tyre size for your vehicle. Check the pix I attached, mine is 195/60 R15

2. As said by contributors here, the one on the tyre is the maximum the tyre can take. Why put the maximum it can take instead of the recommended?

From my findings different car manufacturers have der recommended tire pressure for each car, but generally the max tire pressure for any car should neva exceed 44psi it's on the Internet u can Google it. But for me I don't do more Dan 40psi to be on the safe side 29-32psi doesn't allow me enjoy my driving almost like it doesn't roll freely.

Ive noticed it too. Initially I in the habit of pumping to usually 40-45psi. When I found out about my car's recommended pressure of 28psi and started complying, i noticed it wasn't as smooth as it used to be, almost sluggisgh.

at about 45-50psi, the car seems to be floating on air.

If the recommended pressure for your car is 28, Pls don't exceed 35. It's true cars move faster at higher pressure but consider the possibility of burst which can cost your life. To get where you are going to about 20mins later is better than landing where you don't want. A word is enough for the wise

Wrong. I use the same tire. It says maximum pressure 44psi.

It means if your car says to put 50psi, this tire can handle 44psi max. It doesnt stop you from using the manufacturers recommendation. The recommended pressure is related to the size of tire and weight of car.

Which is more important, tire pressure on tires or the ones written on vehicles?

it's funny people think because it's written on the tire that maximum pressure should be 44psi (for example), it means they can inflate to 40psi and all will be well...wrong! when the tire reads maximum pressure should be 44psi (for instance) that includes the expansion that takes place when you are on the highway especially on a very hot day. this simply means your car manufacturer's recommended pressure still holds because when you inflate to 32psi, on the highway the pressure can get to 40psi! you don't want to exceed that or else.....hmmmmmmm
