Yes.
I know of a wife that quarreled with her mother-in-law anytime the old woman came to visit. It became so bad that the mother-in-law would lock her self in her room anytime she came around, just so as to avoid confrontation. The husband tried on several occasions to talk to him wife, to tell her this was his mom, but the wife was having none of it.

One day another quarrel ensued and the wife slapped her mother-in-law not once but several times. The old woman retired to her room in tears.

When the husband came home the wife told him either his mother goes or she goes. When he heard his mother had been slapped he asked the wife who confirmed it and said she would do worse if the old woman didn't leave the house immediately.

The husband beat his wife that day. Beat her black and blue and threw her out of the house.

That man is a beast.

Another one I saw in cable.. A woman dragged out her child, couldn't have been more than three years of age, picked the child up by the foot and threw him bodily against an iron container. Apparently the child had annoyed her and she wanted to punish it.
The husband rushed out to warn her but she carried the child up and threw it on the ground. The man grabbed the wailing child and pulled it's arms while the wife pulled it's legs, refusing to let go. The man left the child and slapped the woman hard and punched her until she dropped the child. Then he carried the kid inside with the woman shouting behind him.

That man is a beast.

IMHO, it all depends... a man who beats a woman for no damn reasons is indeed a beast, but if a woman has the AUDACITY/DISRESPECT to raise her hands on a man, then she deserves exactly the same treatment .... so she can taste her own medicine and learn to NEVER EVER try that nonsense again.
