Like someone highlighted, The gimmicks they do dat angers me d most is d Sudden poor network and low batteries,damn! It's almost synonymous with most horror movies mostly d ones dat involve college kids. At d beginning when they arrive @ their vacation spot (usually in a hidden place surrounded by Forest with thick bushes) there's network, they communicate with their loved ones afar, telling dem dat everything's fine and dat they're having a good time. All of a sudden when a monster from nowhere attacks dem, d once upon a time "good network" goes bad and all communication with outsiders lost completely. What follows next? then u hear something like "sh*t!! Low battery" and then d phone turns off.

If there are things horror movies has taught some of it's viewer over the years, its clichés and rather being frightening as a genre some of this movies has turn to laughable acts or actions. Here are some of these clichés

1. If its a slasher flick there must always be a sex scene or flash nudity even when it's not necessary e.g: friday the 13th,urban legend etc
2. If its a haunted house flick their pet dog always die e.g: amityville horror,conjuring etc
3.If its a vampire flick everyone must look gay and the plot of the stories must always enter bush e.g: underworld,dracula 2000

I don't understand why this writer has to bring in racial bias. In that same movie that a black dies many whites would also die so why this reasoning?

OP- you forgot to include the shaking camera (that doesn't show the face/identity of the "pursuer") and spontaneous and heart -stopping sound effects (esp when the "pursuee" trips over).
