you are wrong. silent treatment is not and can never be healthy in a marriage. while silent treatment is equivalent to ignoring your spouse, fighting is opening up your frustration to your spouse thereby making him/her know how you feel. fighting in a marriage is not Mortal Kombat kind of fighting, but making your point known and striving to resolving the issue b4 sunset.

I think the fight he's talking about is having an intense argument. Such argument is healthy for a marriage as it provides opportunity for individuals to air their grievances and thus find solutions or come to agreement with each other afterwards..
