i have set the glo apn, but there is no difference.
any advise?

Glo doesn't have 4G in your location otherwise, you would see it. If you need 4G, BUY Ntel SIM

maybe thats it. i live in festac and glo is very weird over here. you get glo upstairs, but down stairs signal is almost zero. you get lousy speed most of the day but late at night speed can be up to 1mbps. i have been working out of orile, and in orile, i am getting speeds of 700-900 kbps during the day [on a note 3 shared connection]

i was hoping that using glo in festac with a 4g device might boost my speeds and connectivity. oh well.

Using a 4G device has nothing to do with your GLO sim, You can't put a Toyota V4 engine in Infinity V8 body and expect it to move like the real infinity..It's still gonna perform like the Normal Toyota. In a Nutshell, your calculation is incorrect. Moreso, all these our existing network providers don't operate fully on 4G yet, though a colleague had experienced 4G on both MTN & GLO here in Abuja but it is only around Wuse axis which means its not all over Abuja yet, and so the same with Lagos...It's probably available...So you either continue waiting, OR you opt to NTEL, The same 10k that Glo promise to give you 48GB in 30days, Ntel offers you UNLIMITED access for 30 days as well...So it's all choice.

The real question for me is how am I getting 1mbps in Orile, but 60kbps in festac?

I already have spectranet. The glo Data connection is shared among multiple Mobile devices.

Glo is admittedly flakey, at least on mobile devices. I had hoped a modem would give better performance.


How does on set up an unlocked 303 modem? Interestingly, that one unlocked with no issues whatsoever.
