Disposable accounts or emails also mean you can't access pms sent to you by members, which at a a point in time, if you're very active, you'd have to drop some personal information

I had to comment on the embolden. That Sony, Yahoo and co are hacked or can be hacked doesn't mean I must be hacked too. That they are popular, rich, or "big" doesn't mean they know everything. What i find out today to improve my security, they might be yet to find out.

So your statement is very wrong. Besides, emails matter a lot. You realize people who use Internet Banking have to protect their emails? As with their emails, their banking passwords can be compromised so a smart hacker won't leave any email account no matter how irrelevant it may appear untouched. So that person was wise to use a disposable email. Even i use a disposable yahoo mail not my main/business email

You can always use a seperate email for your nairaland and another for private uses. Aren't email accounts free to open?

That they're popular blah blah doesn't mean they know everything? Really? Do you know how much information security experts are paid yearly to monitor servers and their networks? I'm talking highly skilled experts here.
