I hate the fact than bloggers and people post news like these use the word militants, this has happened so many times in Lagos ,even before terrorism became rampant, what happened to words like Armed robbers,, etc ,Stop causing unnecessary panic in people ,please Seun do something about this.

Dont mind them.....All these Lasu-Ojo-Igando gangs re the ones causing the whole Chaos in that area. coupled with the street gangs in that axis, Its usually war or war.

Policemen, are at the moment engaged in a gun battle with militants in Igando, area of Lagosstate.
a suburb of Lagos. It was gathered that the militants stormed the area around 4am, looting shops and shooting into the air.

The ongoing shootout, which has left three policemen injured, has caused residents of Igando, especially those around Ikejobi Avenue, Ewedogbon Bus Stop to flee their homes or hide indoors.

Two Rapid Response Squad armoured tanks are involved in the gun battle with more than 200 residents on the road with security operatives.

There is nothing like security in this country, the only thing stopping evil people from wiping out nigeria is just the supernatural hand of the ALMIGHTY...

What a day!
I was flabbergasted to hear what transpired today at Igando (actually this took place at the coastal part of the Shuiti axis of Igando) .Anyway this should serve as a reminder to the appropriate authorities on the need to provide adequate security on our waterway's. Sometimes I wonder if the Nigerian police even have a marine squad like it is in other climes, just imagine ,if they the police can't even handle such incidents without the help of the army, then why do we even have the police in the first place if they can't fight crime. I think it's high time Nigeria revisits the issue of state police, probably things would be better that way.

They have been chased back into the creeks like the rats that they are.

RRS are currently tracking them using drones and a helicopter.

This is not Niger Delta where the Governor and politicians are their patrons.

People that reside in areas that they stop by should be vigilant, they need food and supplies.

There is no safe haven for criminals over here.
