Firstly, I think Dan Brown is overrated.

These are my best books so far;

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; this book is a total life changer. Somewhat motivational, somewhat spiritual.

As a man thinketh by James Allen; like the book above, also motivational, life changing and spiritual. I think some ideas from this book is got from Buddhism.

How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie; really helpful book on building skills that will help in the real world. I remember a part where Carnegie mentioned that instead of teaching students in school algebra or the number of trees in the Amazon rain forest; there is something more they should know about...

Then for tech stuff and changing the world kinda stuff, I recommend:

Zero to One by Peter Thiel; currently reading it.

Hackers and Painters by Paul Graham.

And lemme drop this here; libgen.io
There have almost every book you can find free here just by using their search button.

#fortheloveofbooks The Sacred Search by Gary Thomas

If you are a Christian single who is serious about his/her faith, do NOT get married until you read The Sacred Search (Gary Thomas). It sets things in proper perspective. Very amazing book. Recommended it to all my friends and they couldn't thank me enough.

Finished reading an American Classic, The Catcher in the Rye. I had to force myself to finish that book, it was a total snoozefest. Wonder what the hype was all about. Immediately deleted it from my phone when I was through.
Memoirs of a Geisha was really entertaining. Enjoyed it.
can you email me the book? please.. memoirs of a geisha I mean not the snoozefest. lol

Now that I think about it, I haven't read any real novel in a long while.

The last ones I read was Dragons of a vanquished moon. the last in the Dragon Lance series, and maze runner, the first in the maze runner series. I started Hunger games, but having watched the movie, I got bored with the predictability and stopped reading after a few chapters.

Right now though, I'm Forging through Advanced Engineering Mathematics by K.A Stroud, University physics by young and freedman, And raspberry pi for dummies.

I recently finished reading Second chance, 8 military lessons for entrepreneurs, and business school for those who like to help people, by Robert Kiyosaki. his disdain for education is infuriating, but he has some points. and he gets 10+ points for referencing buck-minister fuller in Second chance.

I also recently read Elon Musk's paper on the HyperLoop, If you're an engineer or physicist, you should have a look at this. The concept is totally awesome.

I have jonathan living seagul by Richard bach, and the people who recommended it claim that It's a really awesome book.

Other books that I've read and recommend are the Hitchhiker series. It begins with the HitchHiker's guide to the galaxy. Awesome novel. Also Lord of the Rings(duhhhh) Chronicles of Narnia(Duhhhhhhh) The silmarillion.(A ha!) And the Artemis fowl series. Although I've only read the first one in full and summaries of the other ones, I'm pretty sure The entire series is worth it. cool

That's it for now.

#ForTheLoveOfBooks

Yeah, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, read that book last month.. really inspiring and very short too.

Have not read the Elon Musk paper about the Hyperloop but I just feel these things are not feasible anytime soon.

A time to kill by John Grisham will appeal more to lawyers and those that loves crime best sellers....
@kunmi how I dread shakespeare. I read twelfth night and was like 'what the hell is this man talking about'!. Maybe cos of his usage of ancient English. Took a literature student to explain to me. I see him as the Nigerian Soyinka. They are complicated writers.

#fortheloveofbooks
My first Grisham! Fell in love immediately, though his recent books are tr...(don't enjoy them)

Pls, has anyone read "The Emancipist"? I read it while very young, but an old tattered incomplete copy. Pls, can do a lot of things to get a copy, Aiden O'Brien shaped a lot of my present self.

I did a lot of reading, still do(but nowadays-news), Enid Blyton, Jeffrey Archer, Sidney Sheldon, Robert Ludlum, Pacesetters, James Hadley Chase, B. Taylor Bradford, Stephen Coont, Harlequin, M&B, Greek Mythology, Hints, Magazines, Biographies, Autobiographies, Motivational books(& get rich books are all about self belief), wikipedia pages . Few modern books get me excited any more, like Chimamanda!!?

being outspoken as a human being.

not conforming to societal standards. this can be seen when Ifemelu being the editor of a magazine criticised the recipe for cream of broccoli soup. do something that will appeal to people around you not overly trying to impress your boss.

I would stop here because there are people reading the book and I do not want them guessing the end.
