We get quick fire policemen in this country yet we are not participating archery, rifle and pistol shooting. Olympics don de finish yet we no get any medal to show for.

Lol!

Nobody is saying Fellaini should be the standard. The problem is with people who believes this performance from Herrera is the standard for us.

The funny thing is apart from the defensive work he offered, Felliani actually made more incisive vertical passes than Herrera in the match. I don't really care about the few times he tried to switch play to the wings (he failed 5 out of the 7 times he tried though), what I want is plenty of vertical incisive passes through the middle to break the defensive shape of the opponent.

And how many of the vertical incisive passes were ambitious enough?

When Fellaini was woeful in his passes in the community shield, why didn't you bring out his video clip to show us how woeful he was?

So many people here have said Herrera was good against Bournemouth but could better but you kept on saying he was bad.

Same thing you've always said about Mata and some other players.

I don't dislike Fellaini, likewise any of our player. But I'll always criticize any of the that isn't playing up to expectation. That's why I said all of them will have a fresh start.

My major point is neither is good.

And when a limited player like Fellaini consistently outshone you in the midfield, high time you realised you aint the sh!t!

However it's Fellaini that always gets plenty of the stick while Herrera gets away with the ridiculous claim of being van gaaled. I once stated on here that if I were to manage a small low budget team and I was offered one of Fellaini or Herrera at a little price, I'll chose Fellaini all day.

So where on the pitch is called 'different third'?
I honestly don't know what you're cherry-picking at instead of answering my question. Rooney was losing possession in the midfield and the final third(or attacking third before you get confused again) and there's the last third(defense). These are the different thirds on the pitch i meant but you just needed an explanation from me because you thought i didn't know i was saying and would've been glad to prove me wrong. grin

Now answer my question.

And how many times have you given Fellaini the sticks?

Why didn't people here gave him that stick after the community shield game when he was woeful?

How many times has Fellaini outshone Herrera in the midfield?

Apart from what Fellaini with his height, what else does he offer?

There are even times when his height has been useless. Those are the matches when he starts using elbows to commit fouls.

There are few games where he played well in the past three years he has been our player. Though, that may change under the current coach.

There were tines you kept on mentioning Herrera only being able to make 1.6 key passes as poor stats. Even when he makes assist or scores you're still not satisfied.

Thank God you are not our coach.

Why not go to Man City and support Guardiola there instead of locking your self up in here and whining like an infant.

Maybe I will after Mourinho ruins our club and you rear your ugly head out in shame.

Some people will just have cardiac arrest because of Herrera.

And how many key passes did Fellaini make from same position?

How was Fellaini's performance in the community shield match?

I'm sure if it was Herrera who gave that back pass that Vardy used to score in the community shield your accomplice would've floored this thread with so much talk about how useless he was.

Fellaini and Herrera are both shit_ but at least he has strength and contributed more defensively and I bounced on Fellini in the Leicester match so your argument doesn't hold up.

Stories. You can't even answer a simple question.

How many key passes did Fellaini that played on the same level with Herrera played if you are rubbishing the only one Herrera made? You've still not answered the question.

Show me where you 'bounced' on Fellaini in the Leicester game.

Are you slow or what? Fellaini was the one playing deeper, Herrera was supposed to be the one making incisive passes along with No 10 Rooney.

He had a decent game and enforced his physicality on the midfield. Herrera was often pressed and couldn't even make the expected passes asked of him.

Why don't you dial the thread back you will find my comments if you need it.

There's also someone who believes City is immense after walloping Steaua Bucharest and another added that he loves Pep's Free flowing football. Lmao...

As if LVG didn't thrash a bigger team in Clube Brugge last year. grin

And curiously, we didn't see this free flowing football against one of the worst teams last year; Sunderland.

The funniest of all is that, they believe Sterling has been transformed, as if Depay didn't flatter against minnows last year. grin

It doesn't matter where you lost possession, as long as you lost it is almost same implication. The worst possession lost of the match was even Depay who lost it at the edge of our box, even though he lost it once. Rooney never lost it in dangerous areas.

The only thing I prove to you is that Rooney had same number of unsuccessful touches as Mata, the unsuccessful touch you complained about. And he only put four or five passes wrong.

So, when they were attacking Fellaini always hold back or what? He didn't even move beyond up to the centre circle to be able to make a key pass.

Who was Herrera lofted a ball into the 18 yard box, who was he looking for if Fellaini was playing deeper? I can mention so many of that. They were both going forward and swapping positions.

You said Herrera was often pressed but he was able to lay a through ball to Valencia to open up Bournemouth's left back.

He was also able to make a pass to Martial which couldn't control well.

How many key passes did Fellaini make in the match?

"Misses 2 penalty kicks and scores a hattrick in the same match"

... The curious case of Sergio Aguero. What a player.
The rate at which players now miss penalties, or should I say goalies now save penalties. I'm believing there's something they now teach these goalies.
