CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I've been trying to port this rom with great help from @Nonta72 since it was released, and finally I ported the rom with almost zero bugs.
The rom is very smooth and stable for daily usage, can be considered as one of the best lollipop roms made for infinix Hot 2.

Hullo house, I know this may sound weird but I have an issue with my phone. Been trying to do the ota update but it says WiFi only till 2026. Connected to WiFi , still the same thing. Any suggestions.

i tried it the date keeps going to current date back

tried it. still doesn't download. besides d size is just over 600mb, while on other phones I'm seeing over 800mb

Yes, exactly. Because it gets updated immediately your mobile data comes on.

To work around this, you have to be smart and fast. Here is how I beat my "smart"phone

First, put off your data. Turn on airplane mode, then turn it on again but do not put data on. As usual disable automatic time update, put off network time. Set it to the future date.

After setting the date, go to about phone, then system updates. While here, pull down quick settings, and toggle data on. Immediately, tap restart/retry update keep tapping till it picks. You have to be very fast between turning your data on and tapping restart update because you have a split second before the date reverses to the correct one

Repeat the process from beginning if it reverses (when it brings the "wait till such a date or use WiFi" message).

Wow yu mean it worked ..??

Just finished... the only issue is your screen has to be on, if your screen goes off you have to start the process again, however the plus is your download will start from its last position

Google said they will release update to hot 2 for a particul time but if we're lucky we we'll get Nougat update.

To me Android One is better and its stock Android from google directly.

Hmmm leys wait for Android 7.0 then.

New weird problem. When i open hot 2 camera it has red color around it who have notice it? My 2 sisters' phone just started it recently, i downloaded a new camera but still the same.

that I can't say hv you tried checking the camera lens if there's and object obstructing it....... Or better still factory reset o hvnt come across such since hv been using mine tho the follow come camera can't switch to front camera only what about yours?

lol. them don take too much pictures the camera don vex
well i haven't noticed it and my HOT 2 is a year old today (still no single fault)
