Hello All,

Can someone please confirm to me which of the assessing body I will need as an HND graduate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Not too sure which of these two will be my assessing body- Engineering Technology or TRA. Your urgent response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Depends on what you want to assess for..

Electrical technician... EA

Electrician...... TRA.

Study requirements of the two bodies to know which one you think will be easier for you. Also check the job descriptions of both.

Esty4eva,

Means not classified in any other occupation. The description determines that.

did you have your experience assessed along with your CDR by EA? or was it your CDR alone you had assessed?

Bellong or anyone informed in the house, kindly help.

I have a BSc degree in Nigeria and MSc degree abroad. For education assessment by VETASSESS, can I send my MSc transcript/certificate alone or I have to include my BSc. transcript/certificate sent from the school.

Reason for the clarification is I intend to claim work experience post MSc and not BSc.

Thanks.

Help toslad, I just have my bsc in accounting, do I stand a chance with the assessment office

@ebimarian, me sef just dey start ni o. But everyone has a chance depending on if the skill you want to nominate is on the wanted skills. I nominated Internal Audit and assessing with Vetassess because that is the area I have worked.
As an Accountant, you can nominate external auditor, Accountant just go through the thread particularly the first page you will see all links to help you in making a decision.

I hope I have been of little help here.

God's best.

For most countries, applications can be done online but apparently Ghana does theirs in person. If u have someone there the person can do it for u though. go to that link above and see how.

Good day all,

Please I have been trying to pay for my PTE exams without avail. I have called the three centres in Lagos and they all say there is no voucher, check tomorrow. This has been on for about a week now. Anyone with an alternative suggestion on how I can make payments? Thanks

Good day everyone,

I hold a masters degree from the UK and please, I need someone to work me through a couple of questions as I intend migrating.

Can I put in for a 1 or 2yrs PGD program in Australia? If yes, what's the work permit duration I can get after studying?
What are my chances of obtaining PR through schooling there?
Can I apply to study a skilled occupation? If yes, what is the possibility of obtaining PR also?

Thanks

This thread aims at providing guide, instructions and genuine advice to prospective applicants for Australian permanent resident visa through the skilled migration program. For those looking to apply for study (student) visa, the link below will be more useful as it has enough information about applying to schools and Australian study visa. This new thread is specifically for permanent resident visa application.

Prospective students, follow this thread.. https://www.nairaland.com/2338380/general-australian-visa-enquiries-part

By way of introduction, Australia has a number of pathway to getting permanent resident status but the easiest is the skilled migration. Skilled migration, as the name implies means opportunity for both "academic skilled and technical skilled" people to migrate legally and permanently to Australia. The program was originally designed to address skill shortages in the country generally, so they came up with a system that attracts people who can meet the minimum requirements.

There are five visa subclass in the skilled migration pathway namely Subclass 189 (Independent), 190 (State sponsored), 489 (Regional/nominated provisional), 132 (Business Talent) and 188 (Business Innovation and investment, provisional). I will be talking strictly on the first three. See link for Australian Border Force's website for the skilled migration.. http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil

The three visa subclass, 189, 190 and 489 are for professionals, technologists, artisans and trade workers who can meet up to minimum of 60points for 189, 55points for 190 and 50 points for 489. I will explain how the points are calculated, occupation list and application in the subsequent posts.
