Hey guys, who is submitting a story for the Etisalat prize for flash fiction competition. The prize is 1,000 pounds, and the story has to be not longer than 300 words. I am having issues writing a complete story that is that short, and I wanted to hear from other writers who are submitting stories for the competition. I would appreciate any comment. Thanks in advance. |

I intend to and it is obviously difficult to write a story in such miniscule quantity of words. As usual the plot and organisation matter a lot. |

Akposb: Yea. 300 words is quite limiting. 700 words would have been better. I'll still try though. |

kayo80:300 words obviously fits the idea of flash fiction. 700 will amount to several minutes of reading. 1 Like |

Has anyone received any emails from Etisalat about whether or not they have been shortlisted for the competition? Any updates at all on this competition? |

kayo80: I submitted my story some weeks back. 292 words. Think the closing date is like 14 Oct, if am not mistaken. 1 Like |

It's not easy being a writer in Nigeria, where writers are treated somehow. I think we should help one another achieve our dreams. I was shortlisted for Etisalat flash writing contest, and I need your votes. It's simple. Copy and paste the link to your phone browser. Not opera mini or Uc browser. Your main browser. You will see my story. Please read the story and vote for me. You will see a blue stuff with a thumb on it. Click on it. You will be asked to log into Facebook. Once you are done, you have voted for me. The link is https://prize.etisalat.com.ng/flash-fiction/voteall.php?id=651 Thanks. |
