RABIUSHILE04:

From ur logic, we can spell rasullullaah's name as 'Muhd' bcuz some ppl abbreviated it to dat, and u undastnd it? That is an insult to the messenger of Allaah. SAW,AS and odas r insult to him and odas like him, bcuz a broda abbrv, and u understood it, does that make it good?!? Also, as muslims, we shud strive hard to earn the pleasure of Allaah, by sending salawat to d rasullullaah, we shouldn't be too lazy to do it, even in written and all. Don't justify claims like dis, u can't spell it full, YOU can't spell it full niiiii, but don't justify ur claim which is wrong akhee. The aforementioned fatwas explains itself perfectly well...wallaahu must'an.
First of all I don't dig fatwas.

Secondly, "Muhd" is mostly spelled by non-muslims, I hardly see Muslims short spelling the Prophet name like that.

Lastly, S.A.W, A.S, PBUH is widely known by all Muslims, even scholars use it in their articles, write ups and like have said it is understandable not to abbreviates when writting an article, here on Nairaland we comments you don't expect someone to write "peace be upon him" in every post when he mention the prophets name(something you can just abbreviate) am very sure you do abbreviate. When I see "S.A.W" i already know what it meant and writing it doesn't make me a villain.

ALWAYS SEND SALAWAT WA SALAM UPON MUHAMMAD AND HIS AHL AL-BAYT

Allamah Al-Albani (d. 1420 H) writes:

"You have known from our previous discussions that in all the methods of making salat upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, there is mention of his Ahl al-Bayt and his family. This is why it is incorrect to make salat upon him, peace be upon him, alone. Rather, one must attach the family to him. In fact, one must mention the complete method from its beginning to its end, as it has been narrated, bound by his statement, peace be upon him “say: O Allah, send salat upon Muḥammad and upon the family of Muḥammad…." when they asked him about the method of making salat upon him, peace be upon him."

Source: Muḥammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, Aṣl Ṣifat al-Salat al-Nabi (Riyadh: Maktabah al-Ma’arif li al-Nashr wa al-Tawzi'; 1st edition, 1427 H), vol. 3, p. 933

'Allama al-Albani also expressed his concern:

"One of the strange things of this time is how a person denies what is authentically transmitted from him, peace be upon him, through several, sahih chains - that is, the salat upon the prophet and his family together with him, despite having seen and read in the books of the sunnah{from a number of the sahabah..."

# Unfortunately, even Allamah Al-Albani continuously failed upholding what he proved as seen in his statements above. Same is the problem today with the Sunni at large though it is not deliberate for that will be Nasb. It is simply negligence.
