It basically depends on the kind of visa u r applying for, kindly read the thread from the beginning and try to provide more information about your application.

Thanks for response...would I be able to get a job and practise as a banker if I am eventually granted a PR bearing in mind that I was granted being an agric consulatant.?

cuteannie02:

Hi, concerning ielts, u can use general, I used the same. As per your profession, ur course of study relates to agric consultant or scientists however study both job description to see the one that relates more to ur study, you need work experience relating to ur course if you assess with VETASSES (most likely cos they are the only ones assessing agric consultants). However I wouldn't know if you can use ur MBA instead since it is related to banking. The ppl in the field can shed more light. U can check d csol for professions relating to banking and read up their requirements. My one cent.

Proof of funds is not required except for nomination from some states. basically, you can have zero balance as long as you have the money to pay for the visa application

Victoria requires 30,000 AUD if I remember well... and its 190..not 180.... In addition, dont use that kind of language i bolded up there please... nobody is trying to get anybody rejected around here

I didn't show any proof of funds because it's not required for 189 subclass which I applied for, u might need it if you are applying for 190 subclass (some states require it before nomination), I sincerely know nothing about 180 visa, read the website of the state u r applying to for further information

Good evening gurus in the house.

My wife has submitted EOI for visa subclass 190 with 65 points hoping that the additional 5 points from state sponsorship will earn her a total of 70 points.

In view of the highly competitive nature of her nominated occupation (Accountant: General), we have been thinking of how to increase her points and position her for an ITA.

I noticed that her occupation appears on both SOL and CSOL lists; the closest occupation that match my current job role is "Financial Institution Branch Manager" which also appears on CSOL.

My questions;

-Has anyone on this forum gotten a positive assessment from VETASSESS on "Financial Institution Branch Manager" or a closely related occupation? What documents did you submit to get a "winning" application?

-In view of the acclaimed tough nature of VETASSESS, is it worth it to stake AUD810 on their skill assessment and hope to get a positive assessment from them? What has been flashing through my mind for the past few days is the possibility of her getting additional 5 points from "partner points" since both "Accountant: General" and "Financial Institution Branch Manager".

-If I am going ahead with VETASSESS, would it be necessary to go through their Skill Assessment Support (SAS) which includes Document Checking and Consultation Services and spend additional AUD330 on that? Any special benefits?

-Beyond the advertised timeline, how long does VETASSESS assessment takes in reality?

Please drop your comments/observations/suggestions/recommendations.

Wait first bros,, you lost me at this point... Exactly how did she APPLY without having an ITA?

Perhaps, what he meant was that she has submitted her EOI, and not the visa application.

Thanks, she actually selected NSW for the 190 subclass visa. We just want to boost her chances of being invited to apply since Accountants are selected on a pro rata basis.

Hello Family,

Pls I want to write my competency demonstration report (CDR) for my EA assessment. My degree is mechanical engineering.

Please I need samples of CDR for mechanical engineering that has gotten positive assessment from anyone who has, pls. I just want to use it as a guide and not to plagiarise it.

My e-mail is favuor1234@gmail.com

Thanks.

Still waiting on anyone with precise infos on this please.

Hope we all have a great day ahead.

Cecegal:
Good Day House,

I know this has been discussed a couple of time but we need precise advice on this.

One of the companies Hubby worked for was sold in 2010 and EA has asked for some feedback which includes a reference for everywhere he was employed as an Engineer,We have tried to no avail to get a reference for this particular Coy now we have resolved to do a statutory declaration for work experience,Am asking anyone who has gone through this process or who has an exact knowledge of what we should do to please share here so others can benefit from it too.

Let me add that because of the plenty Ajala the traveler we have been doing over the years Hubby cant find his employment letter but has been able to lay his hands on some payslips after some rigorous search.

TIA.

If I submit and assess my agric degree..i definitely wont ve any work experience to support it as all my 10yrs experiences are in banking....will my MBA degree alone be sufficient to use as a qualification?..all the assessing authorities dont assess professional qualifications..if not i would ve my ACCA certificate assessed too.pls anyone in finance field should advice...will my MBA degree be enof to proceed as accountant (general)

Engineers in the house,

I am a Mechanical engineer with 5+ Years of experience as sr. project support engineer, I have recently submitted my Application to EA, I chose professional engineer, I received comments in statement summary feedback as follow :

Based on your career episode, it became evident that you are normally operating within a relatively well-defined technical part of mechanical engineering environment, and undertake a wide range of functions and responsibilities.
However, you are lacking to carry the professional engineering wide-ranging responsibilities taken on behalf of stakeholder and professional involvement into system integration; for synthesising overall approaches to complex situations and complex engineering problems. At the same time, being developed as an engineering associate, you have a great exposure to technical coordination as well as grounding in the area of mechanical technology and technical support. Based on this career episodes’ summary the best qualification outcome is the mechanical engineering associate “

Before I reply to this , I’m not really sure what he meant ! , my concerns are:

1- Does he mean that my assessment outcome will be engineer associate instead of professional engineer ?

2-Does he want me to reply on this ? what would be my best comments to the assessor on this ?! Does he want me to rewrite the CDR and summary statement?

Hi teefinix, I know three professional bodies that assess professional qualifications - .CA, CPA and IPA. You may want to give it a trial. But I acknowledge, you may have to forfeit your years of experience. Especially if what you do does not relate to accountancy.

Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 8:16pm On Nov 03, 2016
@Zanyzara,

What it simply means is that your assessment outcome is an Engineering Associate. Your CDR didn't proof a professional Engineer according to them.

It is still positive, what did they say on your experience?

With the Engineering Associate, what I am not sure you get is if it will be an Engineering technologist or mechanical engineering draftsperson. I am not an engineer, so I may not be in the best position to give a definite response.

However, I believe you can ask EA for clarity. In addition, you can appeal the decision if uou know you can rewrite a convincing CDR.
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Bimpsy99: 8:54pm On Nov 03, 2016
Hi
CPA and other accountant assessing bodies will accept your ACCA membership and equate it to bsc. That way u may not need the MBA assessed since it doesn't confer additional points.

Please note that your relevant work experience (for points sake) can only start counting from the date u became an ACCA member (not affiliate) because your Bsc in Agric isn't relevant in this regard but you may still want to submit it.

You can consider your best option and what other assessing bodies your MBA will be most beneficial cos Accountant is highly competitive. You may need to have 20 points in English to be better positioned.

All the best.

I understand your concerns bro. Its quite competitive except you want to consider boosting the English scores or nominating another profession.

Unfortunately I don't know much about other assessing bodies. I wish you all the best. It will end in praise.
