Two research teams led by Warner Greene at the Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco have demonstrated that the vast majority of CD4 T cells in lymphoid tissues, despite their ability to resist full infection by HIV, respond to the presence of viral DNA by sacrificing themselves via pyroptosis; a highly inflammatory form of cell death that lures more CD4 T cells to the area, thereby creating a vicious cycle that ultimately wreaks havoc on the immune system. This cell-death pathway links the two signatures of HIV disease progression, that is, CD4 T cell-depletion and chronic inflammation. The death of CD4 T cells during HIV infection has generally been attributed to plain old apoptosis, or programmed cell death. In a 2010 study, Greene and his colleagues showed that 95 percent of CD4 T cells in lymphoid tissue, by contrast, are bystander cells that are “abortively infected”, the virus penetrates but can’t integrate or replicate. To better understand HIV pathogenesis, Greene sought to figure out how this particular population of immune cells dies during HIV infection. The team looked at human spleen and tonsil tissue cultured in the lab and spiked with HIV. The researchers found that when the virus productively infects the few permissive CD4 T cells present, death occurs through apoptosis mediated by an enzyme called caspase-3. But when HIV abortively infects nonpermissive CD4 T cells, death occurs by pyroptosis, which depends on the activation of caspase-1. It turns out that the vast majority roughly 95 percent of CD4 T cell death in lymphoid tissues is driven by caspase-1-mediated pyroptosis. http://mobile.the-scientist.com/article/38739/how-hiv-destroys-immune-cells If you want me to believe you, please send me a link of the scientific study and I will read up. Here is my own evidence with the link. perryy: |

awelekiti: Bros, unfortunately, what you wrote looks like conspiracy theories. What's this? http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-herbal-medicine And this? http://www.florajournal.com @the bolded, How about he uses that as an opportunity to conduct phase trials? That's the way every major pharmaceutical company operates. How about licensing the development to a pharmaceutical company for further development and subsequent commercialization? This is one of the problems I have with herbal medicine practitioners. You say your remedies can cure diseases, how about commercializing it and make millions if not billions? If it can cure an ailment, commercialize it on a large scale. |

Gerrard59:Please do you need his contact details so you could reach him direct? He will be in the best position to address all your cases. Please stop attacking me here. I'm only rendering help to those who might need one. Whether his drugs worked or not? Yes, it does absolutely! I had high blood pressure spanning over 6 years with severe migraine. At some point, I was losing my memories. I've been to hospitals, done series of tests, stress and resting ECG, EEG, Echo, etc...a lot of drugs were prescribed including propanolol, none could work for me. His herbal remedies after using it for 3 weeks, gave me a total cure. It's over a year now and my BP has been normal. Systolic pressure of 110 and diastolic pressure of 78 at my age is more than ok and it's been within the range for over a year now....what more proofs do I need to believe in his herbal drugs? No more migraine as well. Based on the efficacy of his herbal drugs, I referred an uncle suffering from hepatitis to him, he was also cured so, if he now says his drugs can do more, I cannot doubt him because seeing is believing. I've not seen any orthodox drugs that can cure high blood pressure completely....or have you? It only suppresses it. They would not say you shouldn't eat this or that so you don't fall in crisis. I eat everything now, but exercise regularly and I've been fine...no drugs intake for over a year now. Now. 1 Like |

awelekiti: Attacking you? Rendering help when the veracity and long-term effects cannot be ascertained? Rendering help when the "help" hasn't been published for scientific review? Even when I posted sites where such can be done. BTW, have a great day too. |

Gerrard59:Yes, stop attacking. I don't have to open any site posted by you....it's not useful to me because I'm not the herbal doctor. You may reach him direct and post whatever you want him to know, ok? Bring down your tone and do the needful....do you need his contact? |
Re: 9,579 Lagosians Tested Positive To HIV In 6 Months - LSACA by Gerrard59(m): 2:36pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
awelekiti: No, I don't need his contact. At least not now. On the contrary, I'm not attacking you. I'm rendering help by giving out information on how his discoveries can be commercialized. Veracity ascertained. Mode of operation and side effects understood. Abi, isn't giving out information part of help? . Even MMM will be envious of me. |
