It is illiterates like you that justify the proposed data increase by the telcos.high data would limit your illiteracy to your mates in the playground.

Dunce. The 1% refers to the ultra rich. If you used the Internet for anything more than Googling Davido, you would know this.

Now go and ruminate on what a government run by rich people would mean for the average citizen especially as most of them, trump in particular, got rich at the expense of the little guy.

I think it is still early days to start harping on the success or failure of Trump's cabinet. They may or may not perform well, that will be revealed as time progresses.

What needs to be checked however is the myth that continues to be perpetuated every year which is that wealth is a zero-sum game. Many people without digging any deeper accept and spread the false assertion that rich people only become rich by taking from the poor. This is simply not true. By being innovative, commercializing and spreading their ideas people literally create wealth. They do this by opening up companies which not only (in some cases) employ many people but also offer products and services that many people benefit from. Surely some have exploited others to acquire wealth but societies including the US where the 'proverbial 1%' gets vilified every day would not be where they are today without the rich. Gates, Zuckerberg, Rockerfeller, Ellison, Walton etc. . . These are names of the uber rich, their companies ideas and services have in one way or the other impacted and indeed improved the lives of the average man.

Personally one would like that to see more people who have a proven history of success be put in positions of authority. It is the man who has no track of success that I would be wary of.

A disproptionate amount of tax in the us is being paid by the working class.the 1% are keeping their wealth in tax havens. They are the greatest beneficiaries of capitalism, but they leave the working class to shoulder the burdens of supporting the government. Donald trump is a prime example of this. He never released his tax returns, and those that were leaked showed he got a 10 year tax break based on losses.

The real earnings of the average American have remained flat while the rich have gotten richer.

Lmao, job done. Much of Trump's success was down to appealing to the working vote, hope they don't feel too conned lol. Anyway what matters most is their competency *shrug*

This is going to be a thoroughbred capitalist government... too bad for the working vote. I like the way you see it though.

I encourage you to take a closer objective look at the records and statistics people use when citing these ever popular refrains such as the line in bold above.

At face value one would think that the lot of the average American (by this I mean the middle class) has gotten worse while the rich have continued to prosper. Records showing real earnings of the average man remaining flat are only a snapshot picture of a particular time and do not take into consideration the fact the man or group of people under focus move into different and possibly higher income groups as time progresses. If this was not so then studies for example done by Alan Reynolds, an economist, which show that real consumption per person in the US increased 74% from 1980-2004 would be hard to explain if earnings remained flat over time.

Part of the reason why this particular claim gets tossed around frequently is because of how the stats are collected. Usually, when such stats are collected no distinctions are made between part-time workers (a growing number of workers now in the US) and full time. A broad range of people are grouped together and referred to as average even when this average contain sharp disparities and differences. Moreover, the stats exclude things like health insurance, retirement benefits and the like, which make up an increasing share of workers earnings.

Here is an interesting tidbit:
Three-quarters of Americans whose incomes were in the bottom 20 percent in 1975 were also in the top 40 percent at some point in the next 16 years
. Images of America: Foster City. p.7

I have not looked into who pays more tax in the US and so cannot comment about that but I do know that the vilification of the rich which has for some time now been a political tactic for some groups is one that is founded on many economic fallacies.

Pls always think before you talk. Just mention a person that is a billionare who does not know how to lead. You cannot make money alone. To make money you must know how to work succesfully with people to lead them to create wealth. Most billionares have several people working under them to create thier wealth. If you don't know how to lead a large workforce successfully you cannot create wealth.

You are so wrong on so many levels.

The ministers job is to oversee an institution. He already has a lot of in house experts so he doesn't need to be one himself. Look at Obama's cabinet, how many of them have degrees in the field they worked in? Ash Carter, the current Secretary of Defense is a physicist for goodness sakes. Even Tim Geithner the Treasury secretary (Minister of Finance), the guy studied Chinese in college but yet he was a highly competent Treasury Secretary. And this are not the only guys, there are several people who studied in different fields but who went on to serve the country at the highest levels of govt in completely different areas.

Over here, a lot of people end up working in careers that are completely different from what they studied in college. I know a girl who did political science (or something like that) but ended up working as a programmer. That's one of the reasons that makes this country great. Nigerians are too obsessed with certificates as supposed to actual intelligence, competence, judgement and character.

Bring on the Billionaires: Donald Trump's cabinet is the richest in modern history with a combined wealth of $10 BILLION (excluding the man himself).

Donald Trump is assembling a team of like-minded billionaires and millionaires to be a part of his administration's cabinet.

The members of his team are so wealthy that the Washington Post is already calling Trump's cabinet the richest in modern history.

Trump, who himself is worth an estimated $3.7billion according to Forbes although he has said he is worth far more has picked the daughter of a shipping magnate, the co-owner of the Chicago Cubs and some of the richest people in the US.

But can you say same about UK's cabinet members during David Cameron?.. i did a check then and found out the cabinet members' portfolios were not perfectly matched with their degrees/professions etc. I think it there is no hard and fast rule about this.

Abi o. Go and look at Obama's cabinet and you would see how almost no one in the cabinet has a degree in the field they were called to serve.

A lot of people don't know this but the job of a minister is to manage and oversee an institution not be getting involved in the lower level grunt work. Bros ur argument doesn't add up. They may not have certificates in those fields but through the job experience they have acquired enough knowledge about that field . What experience does fashola have about power generation or technology?what experience does he have in construction technology?
So if u are a banker but studied law, that means you can be a chief surgeon in an hospital?because that is typically what buhari has done .no
