Not a bother at all.I would suggest you go through the Csol and Sol lists patiently again .You will find a course sociology will qualify for.If that doesn't work, add all your degrees and search again
I think sociology should be able to take something being assessed by ACWA. please check ACWA.

Happy New Year all.

A quick update....
We got an outcome of ET instead of Telecom Field Engineer. Assessor's reason being that we hold a Bachelor in Engineering degree and therefore ET is the suitable option for our degree and not Associate.
This was done without even seeking our opinion.

We called the help desk and we were told to send an e-mail to EA. We have sent a mail to EA stating that we made enquiries from them and we were given a nod before lodging our application.
We are currently awaiting their response.
Please has anyone called EA for a review before?

Halleluyah,

With VETASSES, I can't give you any advice with all confidence. The best I can do is that you try the new advisory service.

With your years of experience, ATS and MSc, I think you should have a good chance.

Give them everything and make sure your job descriptions align with that of ANZSCO.

@Frank043,

You need to be licensed before assessment. If you have all the transcript, you can present them. Put in all your years of experience and let EA decide which to go with.

@Brightinstinct,

Yes present them all, your PhD will give 20points.

For those who keep sending PM and have not commented nor ask questions on this thread, I am sorry, your pm will not be attended to.

I have received too many PMS in the last three days, I can't respond to them all. I have things I do too.

Why dont you try and re-take the English exam. Getting 7.0 on each band gives you ten points.
How did you get to 55 without English test, that sound strange.

I keep reading conflicting information here about Transcript.

Nigerian universities don't send transcripts to individuals.
You have to upload scanned copy of your transcript on ACS yourself and not to be sent by the university.

I have arranged with ETx to get the transcript from Babcock, however. They said the copy I can be given is going to be stamped with "personal copy" and it's not for official purpose. They only send "official copy" to institutions or organizations...and since acs requires me to upload a scanned copy myself...I want to ask...
Can I use that copy stamped with "personal copy"?
Anyone had this issue?

I know I can just put an institution or organizations address to get official copy but...
Pls help.

....but what?

Use any organization that you have access to. Then pick it up when it's delivered to them

Don't know if ACS accepts transcripts stamped with 'personal copy' but Engineers Australia does.

Lol.
But if it's general knowledge that Universities in Nigeria don't send original copies to individuals, wouldn't that make them question how I got it in the first place?

I know I'm over analyzing but I like to tie all loose ends.
Nigeria Universities are mega-annoying.

Personally I do not think that this should be a problem. Nowhere on the ACS guidelines does it say you cannot send transcripts stamped as personal copy.Go ahead and use the stamped personal copy to submit your application. If they have a problem with it, your case officer will let you know.

I did ensure that my transcripts was sent to an organization i have access to and i did a photocopy of it for certification at high court before uploading the scan copy to ACS.

Its not an issue.

Good afternoon house and a big thanks to Oga Bellong and every other participant on this thread whose contributions have proven very useful thus far.

I joined the thread at my husband's direction and have read from the first page up to this point as a guest. I have also studied the VETASSESS website as they are the assessing body for my profession. I will be the primary applicant and will be Assessed as an Agricultural Consultant.

At this point, I have some areas where I will be needing some clarifications and as a result of this solicit for your guidance and information in order to help us get things right.

1) According to VETASSES I'm required to write The Statement of Service which must include the following:
a) The company letterhead
b) Your full name
c) Whether the employment is / was on a full-time or part-time basis
d) The working hours per week
e) Your official position title (s) held at the organisation
f) The exact period of your employment in each position held
g) Details of your official main duties for each position held
h) The main five duties undertaken
i) The salary earned
j) A signature by the authorised person whose name and position are legible below the signature
k) Direct contact details of the authorised signatory

Please can anyone guide me on this or show me a template or sample to have an idea on how to prepare it?

2) Resume / curriculum vitae

According to VETASSESS "If applying for a formal skills assessment, we encourage you to submit a CV as it may benefit the assessment process.

A resume/ CV allows you to outline both your academic studies (describing the major focus of your studies including providing details of any major projects undertaken as part of course requirements) as well as describing your employment/ career history in your own words".

I will also need some guide with this especially on how to highlight " the major focus of my studies including providing details of any major projects undertaken as part of course requirements" on my CV and the generally accepted standard/format for Australian CVs

3) In addition to the above questions, I will like to know if there are particular formats that VETASSESS looks out for on a Payslip as my company will have to create the Payslip for me with the details of my salaries as I wasn't issued any payslips previously because my salaries were mostly paid through open cheque which I normally cash over the counter.

Thanks as I await your directions and assistance.
