Quite an unusual one. The phone tells me "emergency calls only" or "no service". It's not constant though, service comes and goes, but when there's service, I can't call, text or browse. I can't even check my airtime balance. Sometimes it will even say no SIM card even when there's a functional SIM inside. Putting my sim inside another phone works, putting another sim in my phone doesn't work.

Now, the unusual thing is, when I move to a different area away from home, the sim works perfectly. I can call, text and browse. So I don't know if it's a software, hardware or service problem.

My phone uses a sim tray, if that helps.

*#06# to c if ur imei is still valid


Look at ur sim try, see if it's pressed at the middle part, it might be probably shifting d sim away from its port

Thank you. My IMEI is intact. I've just tried the code and both IMEIs showed up. The sim tray isn't bent. Or at least doesn't seem so.

Please Engineer, I recently swapped my Glo sim to new 4g sim. I lost all my contacts in the sim and my phone won't save any new contact on the new sim. I removed the new sim and inserted it into another phone and I was able to save contacts on it. Yet, when I returned it to my phone the problem persists. And the phone is saving on the phone itself and on the second sim in it. Now what could be the cause and the remedy please?

I think dats how most of this chinese 4G phones are designed
Put ur sim in d other sim slot and try to save
Seems like it's designed to save on only sim 2
Even ur sim 1 Contacts won't display

My phone is not Chinese but London-used Sony Xperia 11. Besides, I was saving with both sims before the swap. The problem started after the swap. Both sims displayed contacts before the problem began. Even now, the sim that was not swapped and the phone display the contacts saved in them.

,,, i inserted another sim into my phone and I could now save numbers on it, so It's safe to say wenever u insert a 4G enabled sim into a 4G enabled phone, it won't b able to read its contact and won't be able to save contacts, so ur phone isn't faulty

Haa! This is surprising to me. Is yours Glo too? I am ready to ditch the so-called 4g for normal sim to be able to save my contacts. I can't bear to use sim that won't save contacts in it.

I have tried using the METRO PC device unlock app on it but its says "sim not recognised" now am trying to hard reset it and it says downloading custom rom eventhough theres no available internet onnit. Anyone with ideas?

Maybe d battery didn't charge

Let him get a charger and leave the phone charging whether it indicates or not, let him leave it for like an hour
