An oil and gas services organization in Lagos, Nigeria urgently needs a Gas or Process Engineer. The person must be an engineer (Chemical, Petroleum or Mechanical) of not more than 37 years. He or she must be knowledgeable and have not less than 5 years of post-graduation experience.
Areas of experience and knowledge must include the following, amongst others: Natural gas gathering, gas treatment and separation facilities, gas processing procedure, storage, transmission and distribution, etc.
In summary, the following requirements are necessary:
•5 years of petrochemical/natural gas processing experience, preferred in the gas conditioning and oil field production areas
•Experience in troubleshooting, start-up, performance testing and design of process plants and equipment
•Knowledge of process plant components such as two/three phase separators, pumps, heat exchangers, heaters, refrigeration units, fin-fan coolers, pipe flow, vapor recovery systems, etc.
•Experience working with field/plant operating personnel
•Basic understanding of combustion, corrosion control and process instrumentation concepts
•Report writing and presentation skills
•Project planning and implementation skills
