You see, that's why Nigeria is trash in terms of environmental issues. Countries like the US(before the Donald), France, Sweden, Norway; when geologists talk they listen, reason environmentally these countries are right up there. The best IOCs are run by geologists in Nigeria, eg. Exxon, Chevron. The failing ones are run by engineers with no knowledge of geology eg Shell's last MD was a computer scientist, they had to fire the slowpoke. Just a few points to let you know how important geology is. But in Nigeria nothing is important except money.

It's surprising when people talk like this.You don't know about something then you simply ask and not say trash.Geology is the stronghold of most renowned courses you know.Petroleum Geology,Engineering Geology,Paleontology,Marine Geology,Economic Geology..these are just a few of the rich stock geology has...Use ur google bro and feel what the EARTH holds in store for a GEOLOGIST...I rep Geology.Uniport

As a 'one year' student of Geophysics, I must say its a nice course.

All those igneous, sedimentary, and Metarmophic rocks study. Instrusive and extrusive igneous rock.

There are ways to preach that your discipline is important not this crap!
Otherwise continue with your sequence strat. Mapping, geostatistics, and co!
