Now one of the requirements for thieves is to carry a celophene or any smooth material like in fast 5 for u to press ur thumb on. grin and case solved.

My only fear is that some of them have advanced to going about with POS.. I keep wondering how they got the POS. Except they run a store or supermarket during the day and change to armed robber at night. God help us.

Great innovation. I think the fingerprint sensors is an added security advantage. For phones and other devices with the feature. So this idea by MasterCard makes perfect sense.

You won't be able to give d card out.for pple to help you withdraw money. Kolewerk.
And for he finger print scanner on phones.. It is not good. Once you are asleep anybody can easy place your finger on your phone. Even thief they grab pple hand .and place it on the scanner.

This scanner thing has more chronic disadvantage than its advantage

Come to think of it; the ATM machine usually swallows the whole card, so how will one be able to place ones finger on the card's fingerprint sensor when the whole card dey inside the ATM machine?

Also biometric chips need a voltage source to work. So this can only work when being used on POS machines, since the machine doesn't usually swallow the whole card as ATM machines do.

Answer: Bank complicity.

I know the process of getting POS. You can't get it without having a business. Not just a road side business o.

You must have done transactions for a while. They would consider your turnover for that period before issuing you a POS.

What i am not clear about is the part of untraceable transaction. If that is true, then an insider (banker) has identified the loophole in the system and has conceded that to the criminals.

ATMs will be upgraded for that purpose!

The article reads that it would still retain the traditional 4 pins security. I think this is for POS type machines
