Concerning your question, The subject combo:english, maths, physics and chemistry is a requirement to study Industral sciences, physicals science and pure sciences.....that means course like Mechanical engr, pure and applied chemistry, computer science e.t.c can be studied with it!......get the list of Courses offered in kwarapoly and choose one!

1]Ansu is a state university with only little competition. Meaning her chances is great!
2]216 Is a no go area for mass com in any federal university, but for state university, u stand a chance.

3]her o-level should have played a pivotal role in assisting her jamb score! but since it is filled with C's, we have to resort to one option! which is....

4]CHANGE OF COURSE.....now i'll advice her to choose a federal university and apply for an Educational courses as 1st choice, and make ansu her 2nd choice!

UI do not discriminate!....Wheter indigine or not UI dont care!.....your o-level is okay so likewise your waec!....all you need now is prayer!

I had 315 in jamb and I'm aspiring for pharmacy in unilag. My o level is 1 B3, 2 C4, 1 C5 and 1 C6.
Using last years calculation I had an aggregate of 72.4 though the cut off for pharmacy was 76.6 last year. My questions are;
1. Will unilag use the same admission calculation this year?
2. Should I change my course or hope the cut off reduces?
3. If yes, what course should I change it too?

Really appreciate ur work here bro. My sis had 235 in jamb and 9 B3s in her waec, can she get medical rehabilitation in UNN? We're from Nsukka itself tho, thanks. Op, still waiting for an answer please.

2]you don't need change of course all you need is change of institution!...Unilag makes use of point grade i.e waec50% jamb50%. but there are skuls that don't even consider waec! e.g UNICAL, UNIBEN UNIPORT UNIABUJA UNIZIK ABSU ANSU ESUT....my advice is change to those ones! your jamb result is so starring and so every uni wuld want you as a student!
3]Changing your course will be unwise! because pple with lesser jamb score are getting dat Pharmacy!...

So my broda look for a university dat don't make use of Waec result!

HOW IS DEPARTMENTAL CUT-OFF MARK CALCULATED

aspirants knows that before you get admission, you must attain a particular score which is majorly referred to as cut-off mark!..
Ave been seeing things like using last year cut-off mark, am good to go.

Now this is how skul's calculate their cut off departmental cut-off mark!

1]The number of applicant for a course is noted! let say med and sug Unilag is 7,000applicants

2]The carrying capacity is noted. Let say 200spaces!

3]They start to arrange the 7000applicant screening score in a desending order! i.e from Highest to lowest!

4]They pick the 200th position score as the cut off mark for that course!..by so doing they admit nothing more than 200students!!.

Now all this portray the fact that admission into any skul is based on GENERAL PEFORMANCE and NUMBER OF APPLICANTS!....so if you want to change your course, make sure you take note of this two factors!..And don't think that if lst yr was 79% this year will be 79%.
