2) its advisable to if you can. But at least 4 months statement before entering the pool (this is hoping you dont submit as soon as you get ITA, you can use part of your 90 days to make up for the remaining 6 months)

And I am angry because this thread is very helpful. Last year someone told my hubby and I about Express Entry. I searched on Google and saw this thread. After reading the first page, I went to every single link Zandora shared there, did our ECA and IELTS and created our profile. We got our ITA and now waiting for PPR.

In all this, I don't think I asked more than 1 question for clarification on this thread.

So if you think this thread is not helpful, please look for another you think will be helpful and take your laziness somewhere else.

Hello Fam,

Myself and Wifey have saved up (not loan) the required POF in 2 different cooperative societies with our different names. We intend to liquidate the funds into her account because she is the PA.

My concerns are:

-Since one of the cooperative funds is in my name, it means the funds will have to be liquidated into my bank account and I will need to transfer it to her account. I intend to get a letter of introduction from the cooperative informing CIC that the funds is NOT a loan, rather it Is my savings towards our quest for immigration and the letter will be attached to our application.

Is allowing spouse to transfer money into the PA’s account allowed at all? If it is, how do I explain the huge lodgement made to her account at once, say 1.5M?

- Since she will also be liquidating her cooperative too, how can she explain the huge lodgement, say another 1.5M without flouting CIC requirement especially because all the funds will be less than 3 months old in the account as we are sure to get ITA in the next draw.

- Her international passport is still in her maiden name, and she needs to renew it early next year, should she maintain the name on her new passport to avoid complications or do a new passport with her married name.

Note: her maiden name is on our EE account and IELTS result and we have a marriage certificate from a federal court.

I hope this helps you and others requesting for transcript from unilag.

I was trying to pay for the transcript Yesterday, but got the error message, after several failed attempts and considering payment needs to be made, I decided to take a quick stop in school (Records and Transcript). I thought there has to be another way of paying other than the platform which was down.

On getting to records office, I was denied access by security personnel, man kept saying the platform is down and it affects the whole school (apparently, all payments in unilag goes through remita, so, it wasn't just transcript that got affected but all sorts of payment).

After much persistence, I was allowed into the records office - room 163, where I was told to raise a bank draft to the tune of applicable amount in favour of Unilag, then bring the draft back to the record office. This I was able to do within 30 minutes.

After getting back to the records office, I was asked if I brought along hard copies of the application, that is, the print out of the transcript application form, WES request form and whatever I deemed fit. I only went for a short stop so I was without any of these documents but all could be gotten within a short time.

To cut the story short, I got the documents and submitted hard copies. I was able to complete the online application as well, as it was scanned copy of the bank draft I uploaded.

In all, what you need do is to raise a bank draft in favor of University of Lagos, then take the draft to room 163 in Senate.

PS: This is only applicable pending functionality of the etranzact/remita platform. You'd be required to write your name, matrix number and course at the back of the bank draft.

Hi not to discredit your response. However, I just felt I should comment on this because this got me confused and is a reason for not submitting early. Hence, there is the need for clarity on this issue.

Please note that you cannot use Pension fund as POF. The reason is that the fund cannot be liquidated almost immediately. It requires time for the fund to be made available to you. Even if you submit it, it will not be calculated. It will be noted, yes - but will not be included as part of your POF. So it is better you have your POF readily intact to avoid rejection.

It takes up to 5 months, after resignation, for your Pension fund to be credited to your account. 4 months after resignation to apply for the fund and possibly 1 month for processing and subsequently crediting.

Nobody has ever been rejected for digital photo. Don't pass wrong information.
I understand your stance on the Post ITA but the truth is that the reason this thread is mainly on Pre ITA is because a whole lot of us are too lazy to read ,so the same question gets asked and answered up to 3 times in a page.
The success of a post ITA depends on willing successful moderators who can direct us accordingly but truth is they also have their personal life to deal with,so they may not be available promptly when you need immediate answer. That's why this thread seems to help us atleast the gurus still pop in once in a while to give their advices.

Thank you all for you quick responses. I did the US PCC before. Took the fingerprints while in the US. But it became invalid on going back there. My issue now is how to do the fingerprints here in Nigeria to send to the US.. Please assist

This is no need for you to be angry. People are different and nobody can or will be like you. On canadavisa.com, all questions, regardless of how ridiculous, are being answered. Also, there are separate threads (PRE ITA, ITA and POST ITA phases). Advising someone to go back to a thread and start reading from the beginning is not encouraging because you do not know the person's circumstances or time pressure. In view of this, I salute those who go as far as answering every question regardless of type.

Another thing I need to state here - how did people come about gift deed? It was actually from the Indians on Canadavisa.com. If we do not deliberate to sort out issues, we are not helping.

A lot of people actually think getting ITA is the end of it and that is because of the emphasis being placed on getting ITA. Actually getting ITA is just the beginning. Also, someone said nobody has ever been rejected based on digital photo and I want that person to submit the wrong specification first.

There is nothing wrong to comment on POST ITA issues here, but it seems sidelined by PRE ITA issues and those on POST ITA phase seem to go elsewhere to get information.
