Good morning my fellow Nlanders, as a fresh graduate waiting for NYSC which is slated for November this year. Am thinking of going into agricultural sector with my small capital. There's land, pen and also bore hole which can serve as water in my disposal.

¤ rearing of rabbits (which I Ve knowledge about the process)

¤ rearing of pigs
¤ rearing of fish.

can you kindly advise me on which one to do for the moment, with the small capital am having (50k)

But no arguments with you..I studied fisheries and aquaculture in university of of Calabar..
And I'm still running my masters there! Frys is sold at N15 each and juvenile not as big as the one you eat, is sold at N50each.
Go and ask questions and stop being a crab in people's dreams!

@ Op don't allow yourself to be deceived by people here...i was in the same situation like you after my NYSC in 2015. if you ask me among the four options you listed you can go for the rabbit farming since you have knowledge about it...secondly you can opt out going into pig rearing. I'm into piggery and its very lucrative depending on ur location that's if you have a well conducive environment not to close to resendential area. You can buy just 1 pregnant pig from a good source and in a month or two gives birth to at least 7 piglets minimum depending on the breed. Some breed can give more piglets . But it needs some kind of expertise sha. But that's the best option because in any livestock biz you need to consider feeding first to maturity... Pigs eat almost everything grass,and lot of stuff u can easily source around.. But you can't try that in poultry or fishery.... pls do your research well to avoid burning your fingers...thanks

Mhixtakay...I don't need to tell u what I majored in, but I can lecture u in practical fish farming...and I am still saying it you do not have any practical idea in fish farming business...fry is never sold for that Price, except u are referring to fingerling/post fingerling depending on the area..... And as for juvenile, is still not sold for that price except u are referring to jumbo size...I will still ask u again which part of Nigeria do they sell fry and juvenile for the prices u just quoted....bro u need to take a chill pill,shove ur degrees under the carpet and be ready to learn the practical way...just my one kobo advice...

Mr yhemit, I will not advise u to go into fish farming with ur 50k..seeing that u have no practical experience, would have advice u focus on just hatching catfish seedlings and sell to fish farm owners...but still u do not have practical experience... My advice to u is to start something that u already have practical knowledge on, as it will save u a lot of head and heartache...

I know you must be one of those "ovasabi" servants during your so called practical training days..
When intellects talk, intellectuals listen..
Now listen to me..
After fertilization, egg hatches into larvae, this larvae feeds from the egg yolk-sac. When the yolk-sac disappears, a tiny fish appears which is able to look for its food..this tiny fish is called FRY and when the fry grows a working fin and scales, its now categorized as JUVENILE thus FINGERLING.
So Mr playbrain, stop playing with your brain! Calm down and study what you think you know!
Get the difference now and do not embarrass yourself next time.
Now you know, I can tell you again that frys are sold at N15 and the other less than N100,
