@Osila2,

The maximum age for investor class visa is 55. However, state or territory government can waive the age requirement to nominate him if they are of the opinion that the intended business will be productive to their economy.

Meanwhile, $59k is nothing compared to the capital requirements for business stream visa. You can read more about it below

I'm sorry if i sound naive
I have been following the other thread, Canada PR thread.
I have just started reading up on the Austrialian thread.

Is it true that no POF is required for the Aussy PR?

Here is my profile.

I'm 28 (30 point)
I have a BSC Elect elect (15 point)
I have worked as Telecom field engineer (MLTSSL code 313212) for 3+ years. (5 point).
I will be writing my IELTS next month. I am praying to be able to get at least 8 across board

Please whats the prospect?

I am thinking of evaluating with Engineers Australia. Anyone done this before? What are the steps?

Hello everyone here,

I have gone through the thread and I want to found out the average amount to be spent for these processes for a Civil Engineer with 6 yrs experience.

Also, what amount do I have to have in my account while applying for the PR.

I will appreciate if someone can help with this information

Thanks

@Osila2,

The other alternative is to have a capital of $1.5M to be eligible for business stream visa. With that capital, most of the state's will waive the age requirement.

The process for registered and enrolled nurse is a long one and considering age is not on her side.

@Datechman,

Yes, Australia does not require POF. Once you are able to pay the application fee, they have no problem with how red or green your account is. However, you are expected to have enough funds to support yourself for about 6months.

Engineer Australia is the body to assess you as a telecommunications engineer. We have telecom engineers who have gone through the process, so you should be able to get support and help.

Once you have written the IELTS, you can put in application for assessment with EA. Meanwhile, you should go to their website to read the requirements and guidelines for writing a competency demonstration report which your assessment will be based on.

If you get things right with good IELTS score and positive assessment, you should enjoy summer in Australia by December God willing.

Goodluck.

UK is just a stepping stone.. Not a final destination.. I knew that before coming.. The rate at which their own citizens run away from the country sef no be small thing.. And they are not immigration friendly...

Therefore, the moment I landed, I started working on other countries... After 3 months, I decided Australia would be the best option for my set of circumstances... I was in the same boat as you by the way,, just turned 23 at the time and just started masters... That was last year May. My bachelors na for naija though...

Anyway, point is, focus on both Australia and Canada if you have the money.... I focused on Australia alone cos I don't like negative temperatures cheesy but anyway, be determined, and it will all work out... Here I stand, 24, masters done, PR in the bag, leaving UK in a few weeks.... Heading to Australia..

The point of the whole story, where there is a will, there is a way.. You are on the right track, just focus.. Your time in the UK was not a waste, it will all work out in the end..

Cheers.

@Fyn01,

You have not told us if you are married. No way to give you average amount.

If you read the thread truly, you would have seen where this particular question was answered.

There will be an increase of $70 I guess in July.

Currently principal applicant $3600
Dependent applicant over 18 $1800 ( not sure)
Dependent applicant under 18 $960 (all in Australian dollars)

That is aside English test cost and cost of skills assessment with other miscellaneous like medicals and police check.

Read my response above to datechman. As a civil engineer, you have a very high chance. If you can afford to do it, I will advice you to start now.

Hello house.
I will be graduating from the UK this year in Information Systems. So far so good, my results are out and I smashed it. It was until my final year that I regretted coming to the UK for BSc as it is difficult staying back to work after studies. Let me cut the story short and go straight to the point.
.
.
.
I have read from the first page to a reasonable length and known somethings, but I have some questions to ask.

I applied to ACS for assessment, (used my transcript + letter of completion in place of degree certificate) and also placement and part time jobs as work experience and within 6 days, I got a positive assessment.

I have written IELTS and L/R/W/S = 9/9/8.5/9

I'm 23 years old now and wouldn't be 25 till November 2018.

So as it stands now I have 60 points

IELTS - 20
AGE - 25
BSc - 15

For this year while going through this thread, I found out that for ACS, 65 points required to get ITA.

Now I did some research about how to get additional 5 points and found out that I can get state nomination.

Searched for states nominating and found out that some have at least 2 years minimum work experience which I don't have and can't produce because of my letter of assessment from ACS, they sum my work experience to 1 yr 2 months and said only post BSc amounts to work experience that can be claimed.

HOUSE please what do you guys suggest I should do in this case.

PS: Sorry for the long story and explanation.
Thanks

Hi congratulations on your progress so far. Please can you give me tips on how you achieved your ielts result. Your result has motivated me. I need to hit 20 points in English.

Gurus in the house, Greetings. Am a newbie here:

3. Is it true that I need ACCA (which is international) other the local ICAN, to have a favourable assessment or clinching a job offer in Aussie?

LET'S HELP OUR OWN!!! THANK YOU

ACCA has an arrangement with Chartered accountants of New Zealand and Australia (CAANZ) if you have ACCA you can easily convert to CAANZ without issues.

Hello,
I'm sorry for the delay in response; I've been away since my last comment.

Thanks for sharing the actual content of the mail.
I've highlighted the key points noted by the assessor.
Again, I believe it would have been avoided by making reference to Chem Engr CDRs that have received positive assessment outcomes.
It's obvious that the issue was your Career Episodes; your 5 years of study is suitable for assessment as Professional Engr but you've not been able to convince the assessor in your CE.

So, yes, I agree with you; you need to write another one or two CE.
This time ensure that you're spot on.

Don't forget to notify the assessor of your intentions to submit another Career Episode(s) as I believe a decision may be made after a period from when you received the notification from the assessor.

Nwobosi:

This is the exact comments from my assessor

"Based on your qualifications and career episodes, it is obvious that you have a top-surface understanding of engineering principles however, you are lacking to present a professional engineering role. It is not sufficient to describe the studies undertaken at the university or commercial work undertaken by a group in which you were involved. The career episode must demonstrate how you have applied your engineering knowledge and skills and should emphasize any engineering problems identified and any particular problem solving techniques used by you"

My course is five years and it's B.Eng chemical engineering. I'm thinking of rewriting my career episode on my industrial training.
